Yeah it seems MS is oblivious to the way their office suite is a set of platforms that whole businesses are built on. Trying to forget Access even exists, and trying to replace VBA with JS plugins that don't live in the documents and have to be hosted on out on the web, and on and on... it's pretty crazy. They eventually caved and will grudgingly support Win32 OneNote for a few more years. I expect Outlook will get the same treatment once everyone realizes how much they can't do in the new version.

I did not make that judgment... centuries of use with no racial connotations should be forming our collective judgement, as recorded in dictionaries, etc. I can't believe I have to explain this. The reason we can read each other's sentences is because we mostly agree on what the words mean. If any group, marginalized or not, gets to just decide words are off-limits on a free-association basis, then we will be in an eternal whack-a-mole game trying to get rid of today's new offense. That sentence was about putting the words "Fucking Sun blows me" on screen in certain configurations of linux. It is not remotely in the same league as changing the term blacklist in internal documentation because it has the letters b-l-a-c-k- in it. Either you can see that distinction or you can't.
