Submission + - Montreal man arrested for facebook comment
CrazyHole writes: A story has broken out in montreal involving a man who has been formally charged with "uttering a threat to cause death or bodily harm." 58 year old Daniel Seniw was arrested for an angry post made on FaceBook, among the ever rising climate of the language-based culture war that Quebec has been swept up in. Daniel posted on the Anglophone Community page "Well, I see an AK-47 walking into the National Assembly again and this issue will be passé!" When interviewed on the subject of the arrest, the man's wife Janet Seniw left Global News with a very unsettling remark: “Just be careful what you write on the Internet. You could end up in the same position." Daniel Seniw was released on bail for $2,000, and is due to appear back in court on Feb. 18.
