All it would take is legislation that mandated any home sale after year X (let's say 10 years in the future) can only take place with a rooftop solar + battery installation. Non-compliant homes would pay a punitive fee to the state.

Something similar was done to get people off oil for heating (in many places). Worked a treat then, will work the same now.

You might have noticed WB isn't a huge fan of holding cash. He likes to own businesses which create wealth. Cash doesn't create wealth, it is used to transfer it. That's what Bitcoin should also be treated like. Anyone buying Bitcoin as an investment doesn't understand what currency is. Otherwise, they're using the word investment when they really mean speculation.

Bollocks.

Please provide a single example of doing anything - non windows specific - in PowerShell that can't be done more efficiently in a BASH script.

Here's a simple challenge: Write a script that accepts a list of directories. Each directory will be searched for files which contain strings which match other file names (basename) in any of the directories provided as the initial parameters. Each file name should be listed against which other files reference its basename. It's possible that file basenames are duplicated across directories.

ex:
Dir_1/file_one -> Dir_1/file_three, Dir_2/file_four (file_one contains the strings "file_three" and "file_four")
Dir_1/file_two -> Dir_1/file_one, Dir_2/file_one (file_two contains the string "file_one")
Dir_1/file_three ....
Dir_2/file_one
Dir_2/file_four

In BASH this can be done in about 4 lines, and that includes the loop constructs.

Mastadon allows federated, Mastadon hosted "categories" of what are essentially public blog spaces.
BUT each blog space is totally separate from each other blog space.

This is basically nothing like Twitter, where, one way or another you end up seeing the "viral" Posts from Twitter accounts with huge follower bases. You don't have to do anything other than browse the Twitter main page to see posts from every loud-mouth from [https://twitter.com/BarackObama] Barak Obama to [https://twitter.com/justinbieber] Justin Bieber.

This is not the behaviour of the Mastadon "Federation", where you basically must visit each blog space individually, and register with that space to be able to comment. Each space moderates (and I guess potentially hosts) their own space. Basically Mastadon is distributed Google Blogs, or something.

I'll say it again.
Currency is used to exchange wealth. It isn't an investment. When you invest, you use a currency to buy SOMETHING with the expectation that something grows in value somehow.

Yes, currency speculation is also a thing, but that's why it's called speculation. Smart investors don't speculate on currency

It is true that several States have (or are in the process of) banned abortion. But, be clear, abortion is still allowed everywhere under a strict set of conditions.
So, then the question is, is abortion - which is almost impossible to distiguish from the murder of a living human - really something we want to be doing.

gutting voting rights
This is bollocks. Please provide detailed evidence that this is happening anywhere.

making it a crime to hand out water to people standing in line to vote
If it was only water that was being handed out, I can assure you that nobody would have complained. Both parties are equally guilty of breaking these laws, so, I am not sure what your complaint is here.

banning books in public schools
Which books, exactly have been banned ?

banning discussion about certain topics in public schools
Let me ask, do you have children in elementary school ? Do you really want a 6yo child - who only recently learned how to tie their own shoes - to be thinking about which sex they might be ? Should they really be instructed in safe anal sex practices ?

passing laws to remove long-standing corporate statuses in retribution for speaking out against culture war nonsense
So, you object to a repealing a set of laws passed in the 1960s, which applied to a single huge company allowing it to get even larger, at tax payer expense.
