Starlink satellites are in a very low orbit that naturally decays in less than a decade. You would need about six orders of magnitude more satellites to make collisions 1:1000 years likely assuming all satellites loose navigational ability at once.

Space is big. Really, really big. You might think that it's a long way down to the chemist's, but that is just peanuts compared to space.

These CoCs can be used to silence and undermine those who don't align with the woke orthodoxy du jour.

More importantly, these CoCs can be used to silence and undermine open source projects that threaten big businesses. At least, that's how it seems that they are most often used. By eliminating the most significant contributors to projects, the project stagnates.

Just look at Mozilla since Eich was cancelled. The new CEO ruined the company and ruined Firefox. She took home four times the pay and fired engineers. But Mozilla is now "woke", never mind that now the web is dominated by a Google-aligned web browser.

Also, when Govt replaces ICE (internal combustion, not border patrol) vehicles, are they taken off the road and crushed, or are they to be sold yeti private buyers and key on the road for years?

The vehicles will likely be sold to private buyers. That means that the ICE used-car market is about to crash. This means that people considering purchasing a new ICE or electric vehicle will need to factor in the reduced resale value of the ICE vehicle. That is yet another win for electrics.

This was like watching a glacier run into you for the last few years, and then at the last moment when it falls people complain.

Apt analogy. Have you any idea how "surprised" people are when wars break out over droughts today. How "surprised" people are by the increase in migration out of the Middle East and Africa the past decade? Climate change has been staring us in the face for decades but now suddenly everybody is surprised.

The video shows some suits with straps around the neck, which seem to transfer part of the load to a gusset behind the neck. It seems that the hands handle little weight, and are more used for guiding the orientation of the load.

That said, in those instances in the video the workers are clearly lifting with their backs, not with their legs. This just looks like an injury waiting to happen.

I doubt it. Boeing has laurels to rest upon, SpaceX is in the stage of creating the laurels.

So far, SpaceX has demonstrated far more attention to detail and safety that any other space agency or contractor in decades. Maybe Embraer or Airbus would be a better comparison.
