Yes and it will hurt small companies that get 1 robot to help out on the night shift. They won't be able to avoid the tax. The big company with hundreds of robots will have tax lawyers to avoid the tax. Will this be retroactive to all the robots that the auto makers have had for decades?

In addition to the expected plumbing needs of home, you have ADA compliance issues in taller buildings. That is why most new Apartment buildings are not that tall. Adding more elevators is expensive. You also have commercial real estate went for $$/SQFT while residential is $/month. They will only make millions (maybe lose a few), not billions on that skyscraper.

With Covid, more people are working from home, those cars are being drive many less miles. Just that would kill a lot of oil and tire shops. Making repair more high tech has been going on for decades. The equipment for a tuning a car got very expensive in the 80s. It was also very car make specific. If you watch some of the car customizing shows, cars from the late 60s are in high demand. Newer ones, not so much.

I asked a kid if he learned as much studying at home as at school, he said no. I asked him if he would hire kids from his grad class over someone who had in school classed the whole way, he just frowned at me. Now you have these kids who "missed" 2 years trying to act like the paper they got is as good as other people's paper. They got robbed of 2 years. Healthy teenagers were never a high risk group. Now they are pissed at anyone who points out how bad they got done. ps I will put Thermodynamics against Organic Chem.
