I'm not saying Breibart is dishonest but I suspect that posting and advancing conspiracy theories and false stories undermines their credibility.

They are just reporting on NOAAs findings. As to those findings, never attribute malice when incompetence is more likely.

I honestly think the placement is more likely ineptitude, not some grand scheme.

Yes.

Not a single "prediction" made by environmentalists has ever come true. There is still ice at the poles. No one is under water. There is no global famine. These people will tell you this is because they were listened to and steps were taken to slow the damage, just lie people are claiming about this reef. But unfalsifiable claims are the hallmark of charlatans so you can be confident these people are lying and don't really have any science behind their projections, they just want to manipulate us.

Not to mention a recent survey of NOAA weather stations revealed that a great many are installed improperly and are adversely affected by heat sources like parking lots.

Im not saying global warming ISNT happening, but it is rather suspect that the data gathered is from sources that are hotter than they would be normally.

So you're assuming the engine was well maintained, but not the battery in the EV. Why?

Because the subject is range degradation (which is considered perfectly normal wear in a BEV), not the engine experiencing rapid unplanned disassembly.

ICE vehicles can and do have engine failures. .

And when I need a new (rebuilt) engine or Transmission to get the car running again, its only $5K or so. Not $15k. And I dont have to PLAN on a new engine every x years. And when there is an engine failure, I can usually replace just that part. (e.g. new manifold or head gasket) Ive never heard of a bad battery bank revived by only replacing a couple cells.

That's actually pretty cheep to pull fiber under a highway.

Thanks.

Not UNDER a highway. Its on poles on our side of the road. They have to bore along a street without crossing any RoW. Its a backup line, so we went LTE and it works fine.

Comcast bored the same distance for free at that location. (with a 2 year contract) That instance was "We REALLY dont want to do this." cost.

We needed to replace a T1 MPLS line at one of our field offices. ATT said the existing buried cable was insufficient to bond pairs for higher speeds. They'd have to pull fiber from the highway 1,500 feet away.

They wanted to charge us $15,000, or roughly $1,000 per foot to directional bore from the highway to our office.

And its the same company that told us to extend the fiber from the back wall of our warehouse to our server room would be about the same. No we couldnt pull it ourselves and have them terminate it. It was a half day project that we ended up DIYing for only $1,000.

And what happens when they standardize on a chunky connector like old school Dell laptops (7mm?) and technology advances allow making an airweight notebook that is able to be only 6mm thick? Better laptop couldnt happen in that scenario.

And it actually did happen in the Dell world. Some airweight notebooks and tablets required a smaller barrel plug. And if you wanted to use a standard 7mm charger you'd have to use a converter cable.

Now they've moved to being powered via USB-C so its a moot point on some.
