It's too sad to see an elderly lady killed by a bunch of uneducated young thugs. It would have been wiser to pass on the tracking info to the police and ask them to do the tracking. Unfortunately in places like Silicon Valley, cops no longer prioritize such cases. My car was broken into and things stolen before here, I called the cops and they said there was nothing they could do to help, despite the fact that I told them I knew where my stolen phone was and that I can prove with 100% certainty that I am the owner of the phone.

Eric Goldman, professor at Santa Clara University School of Law, claimed that the Ninth Circuit's decision was erroneous, as it failed to differentiate between facts and opinions properly

I think this is pathetic. When a malware flags a competitive malware as a threat, it is anti-competition plain and simple. The "professor" claims such and such, but he won't elaborate why, that's because he can't. If he goes into the why, he'll effectively prove himself bogus.

Hey guys... I'm quite clueless in this. When a district court judge in NY makes such ruling, does it have effect only in NY or nation wide? If nation wide, can you help me understand the jurisdiction of a district court judge?

I totally think AM should go away, just like other outdated audio technologies like CD and DVD. For a long time AM transmits over short range with poor quality, only good enough for sports reporting, local news and other stuffs that can totally be improved by using FM or FM HD. From my perspective I think Congress is wasting tax money to preserve something that doesn't need to be preserved.

Agreed. I left IBM before he became CEO. When I saw the news, I had no opinion one way or another because I didn't know who he was. But I did have a really bad feeling. Althought Ginni wasn't able to drive IBM out of the mud, but that was a whole mess created by her predecessor, not her fault. Putting Krishna in charge, in my opinion, was actually a political BS. They wanted to be able to show the world that "yeah we don't discriminate, in fact we just mad an Indian guy our top dog". But I think messing with politics in the corporate environment is a stupid move. Twitter did that, the guy got fired. Google did that, and it's going down the toilet. Being a long time former IBMer, I don't want to see it crash and burn in the hand of an incompetent guy. The board needs to make a leadership change quite immediately to save itself.

Lots and lots of IBMers have been working remote years before the pandemic. In the 2000s, besides the HQ, they sold most of their real estate holdings and opted to lease buildings for satellite offices. Most people had no permanent office/cubicle anymore. When we had to meet in office, we booked conference room and floating offices for the day. I was an IBMer for a decade and only left few months before the pandemic. The first 2-3 years I was based in a local office building, but when we consolidated buildings, I no longer had my own sitting place and began working remote. So to say now "return to office" is actually not really true. The following several years at IBM, I only visited the SF office couple times only for corporate events where the chairwoman/CEO spoke. I enjoyed the remote lifestyle quite much and after leaving there, I only accepted remote offers. Been working remote since I left IBM.

If you ask me, the Pentium, Celeron names in the past make even more sense that the i-series.

I've been to Vegas multiple times on business conventions, but never spent more than couple hundred bucks.
