Came to recommend this. It is dead easy to set up and it works better than I expected it to. I set up multiple SSIDs for different business units and an open hotspot for our guests that is isolated from the rest of the network. The ability to add an office layout is nice if you are adding more than a couple of hotspots and don't remember where HS249 is located. I haven't found anything close at this price point.

I suspect you were tl;dr the links I supplied. The Meego web site has a post from Imad Sousou of Intel's Open Source technology center handing the torch off from Meego to Tizen.

Tizen has nothing in common with Maemo or MeeGo.

"There has been a lot of great work done in the Meego project, and we are pleased to see that code carried over to Tizen." - Imad Sousa (Meego’s technical steering group co-leader)

If by internal you mean it is maintained by the Linux Foundation then OK.

Funny, that's not what the OP said at all. Personally I use my tablet (BlackBerry PlayBook FTW) to access my Dell Precision T7400 with Splashtop when I need to do some heavy lifting. With a BT keyboard and mouse it works just as well as a laptop. Do I keep my LT around for some things? Sure do, but the number of times I have pulled it out since I got my tablet are counted in single digits. I use my phone for as much as possible simply due to convenience but there are times a bigger screen is needed and the tablet is ready in an instant.

RIM designed their platform end to end with security in mind. Every phone they make has security baked in at the hardware level. Then they provide enterprise/government customers with their own BlackBerry Enterprise Server (BES) which when properly configured encrypts all traffic going over the network. The security is so good the Indian government almost banned BlackBerries entirely because they were unable to eavesdrop on them. But even if RIM gave them full access to their network it wouldn't help them since the encryption keys are held by the BES admin of the enterprise or government that runs them.
