Comment Howzabout a Parental Controls (Score 5, Interesting) 122

Just like safe search, give me a box I can check that says "I'm an adult, not easily offended, feel free to swear, show a nipple, or talk about drugs". Let the content creator decide if their video has adult content or not. If they say it's kid friendly and start with "fuck, is this a great nipple or what?" then yeah, demonetize them and give them a strike. Otherwise, STFU.

Modern missiles won't lock onto a balloon. Shooting it with 20mm ammo is A) hard cuz it's 20,000 feet above you; and B) those 20mm rounds are gonna come down somewhere, if that somewhere is a pregnant lady in a remote cabin the news media might get interested.

My guess is a plane who's capabilities we don't know of flew into the balloon, hopefully getting it's remains tangled in itself so it could land with most of the balloon intact behind it.

Comment Once the Chargers moved to LA (Score 1) 45

I haven't watched a single game. If memory serves, after the bullshit ticket guarantees before they moved, which fucked San Diego taxpayers royally (include me in that group), Spanos had close to 1 (pinky to nose) billion $$$ when you add up the fines it costs to move, plus the incentives to stay.. He got almost 1 billion (pinky) (think it was close to $950 million) to rebuild Jack Murphy, or he pays several million (pinky to asshole) if he becomes the RAMs unwanted but need stepson.

Me? I hope the RAMs do great (good last year, this year WTF), and the Chargers get 0 fan base from LA.

/ bitter? No, not me. 50 year Chargers fan, why would I be bitter when they move away?

Really? That's your complaint? I'll bet I can count on 10 fingers the number of people in the world who give a shit about changing the scrollbar width.

Unless you're talking disappearing scrollbars, which is a whole nuther level of stupidity.

Comment Wrong headline. Boeing delays launch (Score 0) 78

Boeing is using Space Shuttle tech from decades ago, and dealing with the same issues the Space Shuttle did years ago.

Not to mention, after 50 years they're crowing about a 15% increase in lift capacity.

Can we just give $$$ to Bezos or anyone not named Musk, just to keep healthy competition? Cuz Boeing is clearly out of the picture since the McDonnel takeover. Hell, McDonnel can't even make reliable airplanes anymore. We're gonna give them a cost plus contract, plus entrust human life, to these MBA assholes?

Can you imagine a bunch of MAGA CPUs deciding fixing the next election isn't good enough, they need to figure out the nuclear launch codes?

To be honest, Biden got 1 thing right. The MAGA assholes are the biggest threat to this country I've seen in my lifetime. And I'm a 64 y/o white guy who has voted R 75% of the time for 40+ years, but have now started voting D a lot more than feels comfortable.

Again, don't get me wrong. The only thing Biden has done I agree with is getting us out of Afghanistan. And he fucked that up big time.

Great PR that, neither of us has ridden the trolley since.

Then again, we went to Seaport Village, the Midway, and the Farmer's market. For free. We both took books so the delays weren't like we don't read while bored at home.
