Comment DEC AXPpci33 home built (Score 1) 288

My current record holder is my AXPpci33 Alpha which I built in 1994 or 1995 to put the first Linux Alpha port on. As far as an x86 based PC it would be one that has a serial PCI card from about the 2000 time frame, but most of the rest of it, other than the case and disks, is now only a few years old due to a lightning strike that happened nearby.

I know people who were at a company acquired by Google, and they reported experiencing or seeing all of the 4 issues quoted in the post by Seshadri. They said a number (but not all) of the "Googlers" they had to work with during integration came across as very arrogant and naive that things might be done better in a different way than the way Google has always done things.

That really sounds like someone who had a bad experience with their e-bike. E-bikes will definitely help people who want to reduce their carbon footprint while being able to run errands, commute or just get out for a while outside when they may not have been able to do so due to distance. They are an excellent way for plodders like me who just can't speed their way up long steep inclines unassisted at any sort of reasonable rate to be able to handle them as we age. My e-bike is certainly encouraging me to get out and get more exercise.

I just picked up some reduced price milk, easily identifiable by the obvious sale price sticker, at my store today, and I could tell at a glance that I will most likely be able to finish it before the use by date printed in human readable characters. I fail to see how a QR code would be an improvement on that.
