They work just fine in the Nordic countries.
Yeah but Nordic countries insulate their houses when they build them.

Meanwhile: Elon Musk has turned into a MAGA and Twitter is flooded with Trump adverts.
We have "million mile" batteries now and people are discussing "four million mile".
They said the same about oil. Remember all those stories about oil running out?
What happened? As prices rice, new extraction techniques become viable, oil production didn't stop.
Worthy of note: Lithium can be recycled, oil can't.
I've spent about 20 years telling people to stop guzzling gas.
All I've been met with is insults from people in huge pickups on their way to eat 20oz steaks.
50% of America would rather believe Donald Trump than people with measuring instruments who know math.
So yeah, fuck you.
Can this new tech be used to cure his MAGAs?
...it's not as if you're getting nothing in return, eg. MUCH cheaper running and maintenance costs, ability to do most charging at home, etc.
The current state of affairs is NOT sustainable. Fossil fuels need to be phased out.
History shows that the best way to get some serious R&D done is to provoke a crisis.
The auto industry isn't going to lift a damn finger by themselves.
I can pull into a gas station and add another 550 miles of highway range to my Prius in five minutes, as opposed to 200 miles in 15 minutes with a supercharger and a BEV. A plug-in hybrid is truly the best of both worlds.

I'm still trying to get my mind around the fact that somebody thought an air-to-air nuclear missile was a good idea.
Here in Spain the fire brigade are called "bombers".
It does appear to be true that it reverses a degree of cognitive decline in the brain, though.
Is that in young, still developing brains?
All the studies I've seen say it's very harmful: https://www.google.com/search?...
Personally, I think vaping will increase life expectancy. Nicotine is an appetite suppressant, so fewer obesity-related deaths. And it seems to delay the onset of dementia.
Yeah, but do they have to be single use?
Have you seen the amount of used vapes lying around the floor these days?
(yeah, we know, you pick them up for the LiPo betteries inside...)
Douglas Adams observed it back in the 1980s.
