I have 3 ICEVs, and I need to budget when to cycle them out so I can get another round of ICEVs before political circumstances make them unobtainable. Based on current usage patterns none of the 3 are EV candidates, but that could change with either technological advancements or significant market manipulation.

it also applies to everyone who's equipment fails after the cutoff, so 2029 would be a good year to pre-emptively replace your water and space heaters. Otherwise you're forced into an extraordinarily expensive retrofit, followed by much higher utility costs going forward to run those things on electricity.

they wouldn't have to force people to use it. Power in California is too expensive and too unreliable for this all-electric fantasy land to be the right choice. It is painfully obvious to everyone who lives here, except the green obsessed crazies who refuse to accept it and the politicians that refuse to do anything about it.
