I've never seen water nor salt directing an orchestra.
Audible has farts now?
I'm going to wait for the "Apple Vision SE".
This is also my take on it. Apple seems to be pushing 2D apps in 3D space for unknown reasons but there's no difference from using it on a desktop or laptop. No matter how you display them, they're still 2D apps.
And there's nothing amazing about 2D apps in a 3D space, just like there's nothing amazing about having apps on a smartphone, until you tap into the features that makes portable apps more powerful such as the device always being with you and the device knowing where it is geographically. This allows for more time-sensitive and location-aware apps that are in turn more useful.
In a way, Apple's attempt to push 2D apps in 3D space seems similar to when Microsoft was developing Windows CE and they expected to have a pointer and cursor to work on a portable device because pointer and cursor was all they knew.
Apple seems to have hardware that's powerful enough for AR and the determination to make it work, but they just don't seem to know what to do with it yet.
AR waifus + AI assistant is the future.
Have you ever used Twitter or Facebook?
No, I have not and I'm 100% serious. I've always steered clear of the major so-called "social networks".
You'll find that Canadian ISP prices are often twice the prices of the USA and I'm not even talking about the exchange rate.
This only confirms that Trudeau doesn't know how the web is supposed to work.
Indeed, I sometimes get emergency text messages on my phone about abducted children, but that same service can't be used for other emergencies? This is yet another stupid "leadership" decision.
It seems to me that my government should promote our Canadian news websites instead of continuing to allow people to see Facebook as a reliable source of anything. This is a missed opportunity.
It seems to me that the only communications strategies in Canada are to let the ISPs overcharge Canadians for what should be a quarter of the price when compared to Europe and Asia.
Because stupid people are addicted to Facebook and can't even imagine there are other websites on the web.
I keep getting people who want to talk to me via Facebook messenger instead of iMessage. Or sell my stuff via Facebook Marketplace instead of Kijiji or eBay. They're baffled when I give them my email which is on my own domain. The list goes on.
Correction: Facebook is always the bad guy, but in this instance they are also right.
That is absolutely true.
However, maybe they could agree on a middle ground? Isn't that what RSS is for, i.e. only display the title and maybe a short snippet of the news and link to the source website?
You're using a keyboard! How quaint!
