Unless you really need the performance, it's a "who cares" situation because for the majority of the time the idiot at the keyboard will be the slowest part of the system.
Intuitive software that makes use faster will have a vastly bigger improvement overall.
With a better UI if you can save 20 minutes on entering data into a spreadsheet, who cares if it takes 1 minute longer to process it.

This is why we will supply the best computer for the user, if they are more proficient in Windows, OSX, Linux then that is what we will get them, they are both the slowest and the most expensive part of the computer.

Show me which Windows laptop you are claiming compatibility with, there is a lot of JUNK out there cheap.
But I get to update the 2nd hand machines I have bought, reinstall a new OS on machines I dispose of with no "serial number" required.

Oh, and as for computers, I don't care what people use, if you are more productive on Windows, or Linux then go for it, its a tool and you should always use the best tool for you than you can. I am more productive on a Mac, so when my time is also included, over the 4+ years I have it, it is effectively free. But My 7 Macs range from a 2009 27" iMac through to a M1 Mac Mini.

The most expensive part of a computer is now the idiot at the keyboard.

Now what DOES piss me off is that they are now non upgradeable, I have spent decades upgrading my computers, way way way back when I had a TRS-80 clone (Disk Smith Systems-80), I spent 2 weeks pay (back then) adding 32K and RAM into it, it is away cheaper to upgrade with 3rd party options than the manufacturer.

So now I have some Raspberry-Pi units that I am about to play with for setting up DNS, DHCP, Print server, etc etc etc for my home.

No, its the USA getting technology/skills/etc from overseas because the USA has fallen so far behind. They are already selling the Chips to the USA because the USA can not make them themselves. US fabrication accounts for 13% of the worlds output, and they can not do the latest generation of semiconductors.

Trump is forcing the world to do this, not just militarily but also economically.
There is a massive opportunity for the EU here to become and alternative source of high tech, vehicles, food, medicine, etc for the rest of the world.
This will also give the rest of the world greater ability to say "NO", not just to the USA, but to Asia, and the EU as there is far more competition out there. This is important to 3rd world nations who are regularly bullied into allowing exploitation of their natural resources by large corporates.
