The only reason diamonds are expensive isn't because they are hard to find. It's because DeBeers pretty much controls the market and only would release a "few at a time" to keep the price jacked up. As other options have popped up that look as good as a "real" mined diamond, maybe the market will finally flatten out and they won't be as expensive.

I might use it maybe once a month if I can't really find what I'm looking for, and use google on the off chance I MIGHT be able to find something obscure I'm looking for. Usually, all you find is junk/ads unless you have it all blocked.

It's a two fold issue. "Aliens" that would have the technology to come here from light years away, are probably receiving radio, television and say there isn't any intelligent life here, so why bother. The other idea is that with all of the space junk around our planet, their probes see all that trash, think it is some sort of "protective shield" and just pass us by.

Last movie I went to was Top Gun: Maverick. All the movies these days are politically correct, no REAL humor, part 4,5,6 movies, reboots etc. Bring back the good ole days of movies like the original James Bond type movies, Blazing Saddles etc. Oh! But they are racist, sexist bla bla bla bla.

Not to mention the costs of repair/replacement from drivers & vehicles that have no license or insurance. ie: illegal aliens.

Every time they do this, it's like Hydra. They take the head off of one snake, 3 grow back.

The only time I go there, is typically on a weekend, if I have to have something now, and there is no other option.

Every car I've owned since 1982 has been a manual transmission. I get an employer supplied vehicle as well and I insist on it being a manual transmission as well. One year, they couldn't find one, so for 2 years I drove an automatic. Especially in winter, manual is nice when the roads are slick, you can start out in 2nd gear and not spin the tires so much. Personal preference. If you like auto, that's up to you. I like manual.

I know most our city "trunk" lines were abandoned, they would probably climb the poles and chop them down. Pain in the rear to burn off the insulation, but you think that matters to them?

Granted, if you are not IN your room, yeah I get it. But any time I'm in a hotel room, the deadbolt is flipped and that other swinging thing that took the place of the little chain is flipped as well. Heck, you never know who might try to get into your room.

I don't own one that has one of these LCD displays, but I'm sure there is a TOS you have to accept, the first time you fire it up.

Been a licensed amateur radio operator for almost 40 year. If/when the sun burps, it can have an affect on communication. Sometimes morse code is the only thing that can get through. If a good size EMP hits, it can knock out communications.
