Same. I'm still going to use teams with the assumption that my boss can (but probably doesn't) read my messages.

Been maintaining the same code base for over 20 years. It's actually smaller now than when I started!
I have a deep down pain that never fully goes away. It's in my head I know but that doesn't make it less real. Most of the time it's just a distracting dull ache and I can live with it. Sometimes it flares up and consumes me and I have to work really really hard to hold my mask in place and struggle to be the person I know people expect to see. Sometimes I can't even do that and have to call in sick. Medication, therapy and loved ones help but only in a secondary way. They help me see that the world they occupy is the real world and the pain I feel isn't of their realm. It helps a lot if I'm being honest, but it's still only a distraction. In the end I know how far I will sink. I know where this pain lives. I don't know its name but it is the home I will someday fail to escape from.
I'm going exercise my freedom to be a dick for a moment... Youtube isn't a public square so you can just fuck right off with your stupid fucking opinions. Nobody has a right to have a Youtube channel. Crowder and the rest of his asshole friends are free to start their own streaming service or find one that is tolerant of their bigotry.
Well, the one thing we know is it's NOT a phone.
That was with beta software. The whole point of having people try your software early is to gather data on how it performs. Are you trying to spread FUD that they will insert code into projects or something?
WSL isn't virtualization.
A lot of time it's just pictures or info on upcoming products though.
I don't understand why someone would risk leaking company secrets to the media. What do they have to gain?
He started working with computers in 1965. Still doing OS development with the XBOX team. I'll hopefully have his longevity but I know I won't have the impact his career has had.
I didn't buy *anything* for any of my deadbeat relatives. I just bought a bunch of stuff that will keep me amused for a few weeks. Money well spent imo.
Even as the trend to reduce key travel has continued the Thinkpad keyboards still feel great.
I get your point but I stand by mine as well. The Surface is a successful niche that has spawned competitors in the market. It competes more with other laptops more so than iPads but it's still a tablet so it makes sense that it would have a full OS. They hopefully learned from WinRT that people don't want a stripped down windows.
Microsoft's success with Surface comes from there being room for both. Personally I fine a lot of value in being able to switch fluidly between tablet and laptop functionality which I can't do with an iPad.
Yep. People act like desktops / laptops are going away. MountainLogic also doesn't seem to understand that Office has made the transition to online. Office 365 makes a lot more money now than the stand alone version.
