Comment Beat the Tweet, Skeet Skeet the Fleet (Score 2) 32

Pete, who worked at tweet, sat in his seat, and ate some wheat with a side of meat. On his feet he would beat to create some heat while he eat. While in his suite, what a treat, he came up with a sweet feat-ture. He was so excited he almost stained his sheet, so he ran into the street to meet some suckers who would suck his teat. Pete had a dumb-ass idea called a fleet.

I agree in principle with, "if you can't handle problems you don't understand yet then you aren't the right person for the job." I consistently ask brain teasers when I conduct my own interviews.

The difference is that my perplexing brain teasers provide me with knowledge about the candidate which DIRECTLY relates to the field their applying for. I would not ask a candidate in the Engineering, Scientific, and Technical field(s) a question that would result in me gaining knowledge about how well they can dig a ditch. While I completely agree with you in principle, I disagree with the context that's being applied by Amazon here.

I completely agree. That's why I don't buy a case that inflates the size of the phone making it more difficult (time consuming) to put in and out of pockets. That's why I don't buy a case with screen protector included that degrades the UX and requires repetitive swipes/taps (time consuming) to recognize user input. That's why I don't buy a case that makes includes a ridiculous USB cover/flap which requires you to lift/remove (more time consuming) to plug in.

All of these actions are only 1-2 second inconveniences, however added up over the lifetime of the phone equal significant waste of time

With your arrogant post and a $30 case, you're not saving time. You're just wasting time and money.

Why would anyone in their right mind carry around what amounts to a $500+ Faberge egg on them without some means of protecting it from the surrounding environment?

Every time I held $500 in cash in my hand, or set it down somewhere I was never so negligent to let the wind blow it away, let somebody tear it from my hands, or leave it somewhere unattended. My phone is no different. You are correct; it is a $500 asset. However, it is a $500 asset that I grip tight, I keep protected, I don't leave it unattended, and so on. I haven't dropped, lost, broke, or a damaged a mobile phone period.

Phone cases are just a $30-$50 accessory fee that you must pay if you're admittedly negligent. There is nothing wrong with that, but don't write a condescending post about people that don't have cases. Why would anyone want to pay extra when all you have to do is make diligent choices with regards to how high-value assets are managed/handled?

Bullhorn instructions for use with a mobile phone, for dummies (like you):

  • Establish phone connection
  • place other party on speaker phone
  • point bullhorn at phone
  • pull trigger
  • speak with amplified voice
  • adjust bullhorn volume if needed
  • done
