lemmen writes: As widely expected, Google Drive has launched officially today. Google Drive is free for the first 5GB while you can get an upgrade to 25GB for only $2.50 a month.

Google Drive is available for:
- PC and Mac
- iPhone and iPad (coming soon)
- Android devices

  • I can't understand why Google treats Linux like the red-headed step-child when so much of it's business depends on it. It's like if someone comes by and gives you a bag of flour every week, for free, and then you bake a cake and don't give her a slice.

      linux users are smarter than windows, mac and android users such that they wouldn't trust their data to an american corporation (think patriot act etc)
      google probably knows this, so why bother investing a lot in something that won't be used?

      linux is also big in enterprise, and enterprise users want to have local control over their data, so they won't go for it either, apart from network infrastructure not being up to the task, and 5gb wouldn't even store daily emails in many sme

Waste not, get your budget cut next year.
