Submission + - Check out the world's tiniest gingerbread house (www.cbc.ca)
Mr.Fork writes: Travis Casagrande, a research associate at the Canadian Centre for Electron Microscopy at Hamilton's McMaster University has created the smallest house ever built — even smaller than one made in France last year by nanorobotics researchers at the Femto-ST Institute in Besançon.
Casagrande's creation is a gingerbread house complete a door wreath, chimney, and other intricate details carved into the house — and all on top of a snowman smaller than the height of a strand of hair. He used a focused ion beam microscope to carve out the house with a beam of charged gallium ions. Merry Christmas
