Podium is a modern digital workstation (DAW), for Windows. It supports audio and MIDI recording and editing, and also hosts VST instrument (and effect) plugins. You will need to set up the audio and MIDI interfaces you want to use with Podium. Click the checkbox next each interface you wish to use on the MIDI page. To get the best low latency performance, it is strongly recommended that you choose an ASIO audio driver for the audio page. When you first run Podium, the selector defaults to Building and loading plugin database. Podium will create a database of all plugins it finds when you create a project. To avoid repeating the tedious plugin scanning, the default selector for the next projects you create will be Load plugin databases. You can choose to rebuild or update your database if you have installed new plugins in the time since you last built it.

This free web tool allows you to remove vocals from songs to create karaoke versions. The quality of the results depends on how the track was recorded. If instruments are not centered, they will be removed. The OOPS effect (Out Of Phase Stereo), removes vocals. The OOPS effect is based on the fact that most songs have the vocals perfectly centred while the instruments are slightly panned to the left and right channels. The channels are subtracted from one another and the vocals on the left channel and right channel will cancel each other and disappear. This tool is designed for voice recordings. It will reduce unwanted sounds and preserve good audio quality.
