Upgates is a Czech-built SaaS ecommerce platform, on the market since 2010, with over 4,300 live stores.

Architecture and extensibility matter here. A real-time REST API exposes create, read, update and delete operations across products, orders, customers and stock, alongside CSV and XML import/export with a column-mapping configurator and scheduled feeds. Templates are not a black box: a visual editor sits on top, but developers can edit the source HTML, CSS and JavaScript of any template, keep graphic backups and run test versions before publishing.

Multidomain/Multistore lets one installation serve several brands or countries, each on its own domain with its own language, currency, carriers, payment methods and content, while sharing stock and customer data. EU One Stop Shop VAT and VIES VAT-number validation are handled by the platform.

Operationally it covers catalog and unlimited variants, a graphical configurator, order processing with invoices and credit notes, stock limits and back-in-stock alerts, loyalty points, vouchers, abandoned-cart records, reviews, SEO with sitemap.xml, robots.txt and redirects, SSL, two-factor admin login and GDPR tooling.
