Cybele Thinfinity Software Review Date: Oct 10 2024
Summary: Cybele Thinfinity is a solid solution for businesses looking to facilitate remote access to applications and desktops. Its ease of use, performance optimizations, and multi-device support make it a compelling choice, especially for organizations prioritizing remote work. However, potential users should consider their internet infrastructure and evaluate cost implications based on their specific needs.
Positive: Ease of Use: The web-based interface is user-friendly and easy to set up.
Flexibility: Allows access from virtually any device with internet connectivity.
Cost-Effective: Reduces the need for extensive hardware setups, as applications run on a central server.
Scalability: Suitable for both small businesses and larger enterprises, adapting to varying needs.Negative: None for me, however users may experience lag if bandwidth is insufficient, particularly for graphics-intensive applications. But all up the benefits far outweigh the bandwidth issues.

Review Thinfinity Workspace 7.0.0.112 Date: Jan 25 2024
Summary: Tidy application, very easy to use for the end user. Fast integration. Very useful to run Windows applications on OS X computers. Much easier to configure than the native RDS server.
Positive: Very simple installation, pre-configured applications. I created some RDP connections very quickly, they work very smoothly even at high resolution. The integration into Microsoft Active Directory was also problem-free. Many different possibilities to connect remote systems, RDP, VNC, websites etc.
Negative: High entry costs for smaller companies. Licenses for non-commercial use would also be very nice.

No Client Installation nor any inbound ports needed Edited: Oct 28 2023
Summary: I have been using for some years the earlier product and has not failed me nor can it be blocked. The view-and-use on the remote RDP/VNC PC is not a security risk for workplace as you are simply looking at a web page of the remote machine.
Positive: It works to view a remote PC from secure environments where Microsoft's RDP may be disabled, where no software can be installed, and no additions to browsers allowed. Where the work firewall has no inbound ports and very limited outbound ports, say 443 and 80 only via a gatekeeping proxy server.
So the remote PC is simply an active web page.Negative: I cannot think of any that bothers me at all.. Plug and play.

I preferred to install my own wildcard SSL certificate and at first it was fiddly to achieve, but likely cause was my ignorance, but now works well so secured encrypted connection to the remote PC. I do not use any third party server in case that URL gets blocked by the work environment's proxy servers -
