Contractors can input measurements through typing, voice commands, or by utilizing LiDAR technology available on compatible iPhone Pro models. The app automates the calculation of dimensions for walls, ceilings, baseboards, and floors, while also estimating the necessary quantities of paint and other materials based on the contractor’s pricing structure. Each generated estimate provides options categorized as Good, Better, and Best, which can easily be shared via a link or as a PDF document. Customers can conveniently review and sign these estimates either in their browser or directly on the contractor's device; the app generates a signing certificate that captures the identity of the signer, the timestamp, and the details of the signed document. Additionally, Tapebid stores a signed PDF that includes critical signer information and the time of signing, ensuring a comprehensive record is maintained. The application further accommodates change orders, generates invoices that reflect outstanding balances, sends payment reminders, and tracks job expenses alongside receipt images. It functions offline for measuring, pricing, and signing, allowing for seamless syncing once a connection is reestablished. Contractors have the flexibility to choose between feet or meters, set their preferred currency, and utilize the app along with customer estimates in ten different languages, enhancing usability for a diverse clientele.
