Negative: Not knowing ALL the software has to offer, but the excellent customer service assists with continuous training and support to ensure you are using the software to its full potential.

Positive: We’ve been using SharpeSoft software at Taylor Jane Construction LP and couldn’t be more pleased. Summary: SharpeSoft is a wonderful program for civil engineering estimating. I would recommend SharpeSoft to any civil engineering company for their estimating and budgeting software. SharpeSoft provide the detailed structure I need in an estimate, with labor, equipment, materials and subs, SharpeSoft is easy to learn, user friendly and works seamlessly with project management, scheduling and budgeting.

Positive: The program is intuitive and easy to use. it uses common logic to accomplish the estimating process. It is easy to learn and has a simple flow to allow fast and seamless work flow. The program allows for as much detail you need for each bid item. The estimating process with SharpeSoft is much faster, easer and provides more detail than other programs I looked at, costing ten times more money. It is a great value!

Negative: I need to use the program often to to stay up to speed on the functions. As the owner of the business, I require a manager to administer the program and keep it up to date. The data bases are hard to view in there entirety.

Summary: Honesty I am new to the estimating world and was very apprehensive Switching to something new, but I see great things here.

Positive: The Fact that you can pre build all materials then all you do is drag and drop into your line item is fantastic. Even better pre building those materials into full assemblies ie: all fire hydrant parts. Makes the process even faster. As well as building out labor and equipment crews for certain job tasks reduces many headaches. The ease of navigating the program blew me away. Most software's just send you in an over detailed spiral.

Negative: Being so new to this program I have yet to come across something I would say is a con to me.

Summary: Truly, a remarkable and time saving, and also any said to have everything in the database to not only save time, but to also be able to be more accurate with your bidding and all of your projects. Can be used by subcontractors or general contractors of different trades.

Positive: Save a lot of time. Customizable to your needs. Be able to change things on the fly. Copy jobs to reuse similar job. The overall effectiveness of this program is truly amazing compared to the old method of a spreadsheet.

Negative: No, undo the action or button. Be careful before you delete an item because you will not be able to retrieve it. Adding Materials fly Can be difficult or cumbersome.

Summary: Great product, easy integration and training, a person could literally be using the program within an hour after set up. The Support team is excellent!!

Positive: Easy to use and understand. Estimator allows for faster data entry so more time can be spent by the estimator evaluating the project or even bidding an additional project.

Negative: I would like to see some higher level integration of PDF scanning feature for quote input and comparison.

Summary: I think it's a well thought out program with lots of nice features that make it user friendly. I'm in the program most of my working day and haven't had many issues with it.

Positive: Easy to use, easy to set up tables and templates. I love the item master feature! It makes it super fast to insert items we use over and over or copy from other jobs. I like the bid page that has all of our open projects at a glance to see what's still pending, bids we've lost, or completed. Reports are accurate and easy to understand.

Negative: Set up takes a while. It takes a bit to train people on the program especially things like prevailing wages that we don't use super often. If you copy and paste items, sometimes prices will reset to the table price, so you have to watch carefully to make sure numbers aren't getting skewed.

Summary: For a owner operator a guy that doesn't work from computers much I couldn't ask for an easier program. The SharpeSoft team is an amazing group of people that are always fast to help with any of my estimating needs.
Take the time to check SharpeSoft out you wont regret it.

Negative: Difficult to download Microsoft Project files from software to my actual desktop, lots of maneuvering. Help window does not always answer my questions. Wish I could copy and entire job over when a project rebids. copying and pasting does not always bring over the mark ups and unit prices correctly.

Summary: Excellent! No complaints. Everything mentioned above . The company is solid and updates are simple to install . Support is always quick to get back to you.

Positive: The estimating software is built for estimators that truly understand productions . Canned crews and daily production schedules are awesome. Reports for crew are excellent . Support is exceptional. I've been on SharpeSoft since 2001. Have looked at different systems , but always have come to Sharpe as the best

Negative: Would like a couple simple options for reports that I would like to discuss.

Summary: I highly recommend this software. You would increase your productivity in bidding jobs. It allows the user to not only miss values but is so user friendly that really anyone with a small amount of training can be a pro at no time.

Positive: The ease of changing labour and equipment rates on the fly and it being saved for your next job is awesome. The support I get from their team is amazing.

Negative: To be honest the software has been a really good asset to our business. It saves us so much time. The end product is always a great product
