Positive: From file storage to file sharing SmartVault provides a secured and seamless platform for business. I liked its collaboration features. It's easy to transfer files around anywhere. The interface is also easy to understand.

Negative: There's no downside I experienced on this platform.

Summary: Along with every feature for seamless use of cloud storage for confidential documents, the customer support is pretty nice. I have been using it for collaborated work with my colleagues remotely.

Positive: It provides cloud storage of documents so we can access them from anywhere.
It saves the file in encrypted for for absolute security.
Features like eSign, version control and scan integration helps a lot.

Negative: The app user interface is very simple which makes it easy to use and understand. The app has no cons.

Summary: Product is good and not too complicated. Some of the portal systems that are part of tax prep software are way too costly to justify slightly better integration.

Positive: The product is good, not too complicated, and not expensive especially compared to some of the bigger names.

Negative: I wish there was an app for clients to use on their phone.

Summary: Overall, my team and I have had a great experience with SmartVault. It's easy to remove old employees and onboard new employees. Easy to teach clients how to utilize it. And has been GREAT during COVID-19 while we were socially distanced and navigating tax season.

Positive: It's an easy product to learn. And even easier to walk a client through how to set up their access. All I have to do is send and email, then the client takes a few steps to set up their log in information, and with a few clicks they are ready to send and receive sensitive information through a secure portal!

Negative: Nothing that I dislike enough to mention. Sometimes the search bar takes a few seconds to catch up, but that could also be my computer with several other large programs running.

Summary: Altogether, It is an amazing app to secure and back up your data while managing it with a well-structured interface. I recommend this to anyone who wants to seamlessly ensure confidentiality as well as the management of documents.

Positive: If you want to keep a backup of your confidential and important documents over the cloud, this could be your best option. I have been using it for a long time, it is secure, easy to use, seamless, and reliable.
Managing clients and their data are quite easy with help of smartVault.

Negative: I have been using it for a long time now, and haven't encountered any problem associated with it.

Summary: Overall the application comes very handy as we do not have to roam with physical confidential and important documents, that saves our time as well as a better way to share documents in your business.

Positive: While saving and sharing important documents the only concern for anyone is security and with SmartVault i haven't came across any vulnerability in security.
Features like e-signature and cloud sharing of document ensures the authentication of the shared document which is pretty good and convenient for confidential document.

Negative: It gives pretty much everything which is promised. I found no issues as such but the user interface could improve.

Summary: Overall a great document management system and a great way to share documents with clients via a secured website!

Positive: File structure set up and adding new folders is easy and logical.

Web access to those outside of the organization is a great benefit.

Negative: When copying and pasting documents in the same folder, sometimes the system lags.

Summary: Overall, I have been very impressed by SmartVault. I was using Office 365 Business and was fed up that Sharepoint kept falling over for clients - I had set it up as groups to move documents around as I provide payroll services, but often I would get an email from the client saying not received or can't access. SmartVault integration has been very easy and clients have embraced - I think that for many it looks like IE tree set up for navigating makes it easier and that a desktop version is available for their use - a feature taken away by Microsoft - they feel they have greater control too. The current global pandemic has meant that the software has been a god send in maintaining client relations and service provision. I am pleased to have moved over and would recommend.

Positive: - Very user friendly and easy to navigate
- Easy to set up and invite clients and give the appropriate access according to their status i.e. full for the company director down to folder or file specific
- Easy to upload documents and great that it has a desktop version in addition to the online version. Clients like the Apple integration and the fact it works happily with MAC's as comfortably as non-MAC Windows PC's
- Good support, though confusing when you get an US number for someone who lives in India to assist! – I’m a UK based company
- Free set up and training assistance including full run through of the software
- Unlimited Companies
- Free access for clients
- Templates for Accounts/Payroll etc save a lot of time for setting up year on year

Negative: - Integration with Outlook - this is hit and miss if it works and mine doesn't meaning I can't link email in - have been advised it is due to not having the full office suite, though I have and it still wouldn't integrate
- A little expensive compared to other products, but it was best fit for the business

Summary: SmartVault has been a game-changer for our firm. This software has saved our firm more time to get work done and less time sharing documents with our clients.

Positive: My firm loves how easy and secure it is to send and receive information with our clients. This has saved our firm in an age of working remotely.

Negative: Could use a more modern look and have an easier way to search for files in the database.

Summary: We could not be happier. We used to use Lacerte DMS. It was a nightmare. Always having to reformat and things kept in diff folders. Data was not easily found either. With SV connected desktop software we can find any client easily.

Positive: The 100% reliability is the key. We love how SmartVault is integrated with Intuit/Lacerte. It makes our lives simple, efficient, and stress-free.

Negative: In mid-2019 SV did an update that made uploading files more stable and faster. Since then I honestly have no complaints. We upgraded our internet speed for faster uploads and using SV is just a breeze. I did think of one issue, but I do not know if the problem is Lacerte's fault or SV? Sometimes a client may already be in SV with years of historical data, but SV will create a new folder for that client under their Lacerte client ID? So a duplicate of sorts. I have not found a consistent pattern and never complained because it's rare and random.

Summary: Secure and easy way to access/share/manage files.
Has unique file system for every individual client.
The pricing isn't bad either.
Not much to complain but too much to appreciate.

Positive: Cloud based makes it secure and easy to access while also providing you portability.
Has great Integration with current system.
User interface is easy to use.

Negative: The user interface is great but needs some optimization to make it lighter.
The initial setup needs some technical skills so you might need an IT Team.

Summary: SmartVault is a very secure platform for client and employee document storage. Pricing is VERY fair, and I love the ease of sharing files. Great for use in Real Estate based workplaces.

Positive: SmartVault is more secure than other file sharing and storage programs. It is great for collaborating on projects, especially since the files can be accessed on any device.

Negative: The site has been reported by a coworker to go down due to heavy traffic, although this has never happened to me personally.

Summary: Really enjoy working with SmartVault. It's a great option from google drive. My compliance team recommended as it is more secure.

Positive: Secure place to upload and hold documents. It's also very convenient to use with DocuSign. It's something I use and organize daily.

Negative: Customer service team takes a minute to respond. But most everything is located on FAQ's.

Summary: Very happy with the switch. Getting more used to the software every day. SmartVault University is a great tool for first time users and as a reference tool.

Positive: Ability to share files with clients. This saves so many steps, i.e. the typical drop off of a hard copy or QB file.

Negative: Archiving ex clients, a drag and drop feature would be helpful and quicker.

Summary: Overall, I think it's a great investment, especially for firms who already using TaxCalc. File sharing and client communication in one platform.

Positive: It can be tailored to my firm, even I can insert my company logo

Negative: Not every client was happy to change to the new system.
