    Summary: I purchased a gift magazine subscription and had it mailed directly to the recipient. A few days later, I ordered coffee online from a vendor I have been using for years. Several days later I got a call saying that my coffee had been delivered to the wrong person at the wrong address because it was sent to the magazine gift recipient. I checked my account at the coffee vendor, and ShopPay had BROKEN INTO MY ACCOUNT AND CHANGED MY DEFAULT NAME AND ADDRESS. It wasn't until I contacted the coffee vendor that I realized that: a) ShopPay was the 3rd-party payment collector in both cases and that b) ShopPay was STALKING ME ACROSS THE WEB. I never agreed to do business with ShopPay, I knew nothing about them till this happened. I complained the BBB in Canada (Shopify is a Canadian corporation) and Shopify just blew me off. They didn't care one whit.

    Positive: Nothing. I'm not sure why I have to fill out the Pros section because I have absolutely nothing positive to say about Shopify or ShopPay. As far as I am concerned, they should be charged with Criminal Stalking on the internet.

    Negative: Shopify kept information from a gift purchase from one vendor without my permission and then changed my account shipping address with another vendor without my knowledge so that another purchase (not a gift) was shipped erroneously. In neither case did I consent to do business with Shopify/ShopPay

    Annoying, waste of time and money

    Summary: I end up not even shopping at websites that require Shop Pay. I cannot login with ease. The login process takes numerous login attempts. It is very demotivating, time consuming and frustrating to login in a regular manner. Then be required to login again. Then several times after that. By that time I am so frustrated I need up just not buying whatever I was intending to buy and just leave or buy the item elsewhere.

    Positive: NONE. NOTHING IS OF VALUE WHEN USING SHOP PAY. I end up not even shopping at websites requiring the use of Shop Pay. The best thing about Shop Pay is that I end up not buying anything became I have only experienced negative interaction with this app. It is a total waste of the user and the merchant as they lose customers due to requiring the customer use the Shop Pay app.

    Negative: Makes Logging in 100 times more difficult, laborious, tedious, time consuming, frustrating. You go to login to a website, you login then have to login several more times because of the Shop Pay feature. It is infuriating to say the least.

    Summary: Ordered a one-time pay order through Shop Pay. Had to return one of three items. Vendor refunded Shop Pay, but Shop Pay won't take responsibility for why they didn't refund my credit card. They just say it's between me and my credit card company. They refuse to provide any proof that they refunded my card, and just keep me bouncing between the vendor, who has provided proof of refund to Shop Pay, and my bank, who has no record of refund.

    In other words, shop pay kept the money from the vendor; very simply, this is theft. Finally gave up after 2 months, deleted Shop Pay account, and reported to BBB.

    Positive: Nothing. Very poor customer service and basically just give you the runaround instead of providing support.

    Negative: Won't refund money, just gives runaround and won't take responsibility for lost refund.

    Summary: Scams I spoke with Rep then ask for Supervisor got one to disconnect the call shop pay is a scam to telling me that they do loans how when I paid for this merchandise through your website.

    Positive: My first time being ask to pay through Shop Pay so I used my CC to make the $79.49 payment on the 19th of December 2023 I was told I would receive my package in 7 business days with me getting a order number 1892 and the merchant Weights N Lipstick I reached out to them and company and was told first I wouldn’t be getting a refund how does that work when you have not even sent the package this was my first time going to both website After I get this resolve I will not ever order anything from this company Weights and Lipstick I sent a message to Messenger and call both companies to get a reply that they are working with other companies I think this is one of the biggest SCAMS I have know reported both Weight N Lipstick and Shop Pay to the BBB now back to my bank to dispute this transaction but to be told by a company you spent your money with your not getting it back was like a huge BLOW.

    Positive: They are actively and have actively stolen, almost $300 in a refund from my autistic, dying father the merchant credited back flowers from the memorial of my dead mother, and they are actively in half an actively for nine months, now gaslighting us, and giving us all kinds of robotic Non-sensible excuses as to why they haven’t been able to give us the refund back but the merchant claims and has the accounting Forensics that the merchant refunded the money back to Shop Pay and Shop Pay claims they refunded it, but it never ever was ever refunded back to Discover credit card. I have all the accounting Forensics to prove this. They keep trying to blame a dispute that I opened with Discover over them not being able to refund the credit back to discover discover says that lie the biggest lie they’ve ever heard actually because no matter what dispute they opened up on their investigation, it would never prevent shop and pay from allocating the refund back to the Discover card, this has been a nightmare not only that the staff that Max L CEO cowardly lowlife of a man who steals refund money from autistic handicap, hard-working people who are dying. This is the reputation of this company now anyway, the staff employees they have no education they barely speak English and they all have a script that they read and it doesn’t make any sense they’re actively stealing our money, now if they’re actively stealing our money, they’re definitely stealing thousands of other refunds I’m sure so I’m posting this to rally any other customers who want to join me.     Summary: Terrible! Klarna is way better. I have never had issues with them. I have had nothing but issues with shop pay and they do not help people receive refunds on purchases when their is an issue with the merchant.

    Positive: Nothing! I recommend no one to do business with them. Customer service is poor and their representatives will give you the run around.

    Negative: I will never take out a loan with Shop Pay again. I placed an order on a product on July 3rd. I didn’t receive the product until a month later and when I received the product, it was in poor condition. When it was time to dispute the product, shop pay window had closed for me to dispute the case so I took it up with my credit card company for a charge back since the merchant ignored my emails to return the product back. Well, Shop pay’s customer service is extremely poor! Not only did they not dispute the matter with the merchant, but I’m stuck with a debt and bill I should not be obligated to pay! Shop pay has done nothing to resolve this issue so I can get my money back.
