Shop Pay Description

Shop Pay stores your personal information so you can fill out forms and not carts. Everything is encrypted to ensure a smooth checkout. Split your purchase into four equal installments at participating merchants or pay in full at checkout. You can now offset the carbon emissions from your deliveries for free. You just need to check out with Shop Pay to be carbon-neutral. Shop Pay protects you and your money. Once you have shared your shipping and billing information, you can use your email address for future purchases. Our servers are compliant with industry standards (PCI Compliance), and can vault credit and debit card information. Shop protects all personal information you share with them. Shop Pay allows you to choose whether to pay in full or in four equal installments* at participating merchants. You can make debit or credit card payments every 2 weeks or set up automatic payments.

    Summary: Do not use this App to buy anything. Terrible customer support (none!) and they allow scammers to sell on their platform.

    Positive: The ease of not having to enter all your info each time you make a purchase from different shops........OTHERWISE... NOTHING!

    Negative: They do not verify or vet merchants/shops selling on their platform, and offer no support if you get scammed!! NEVER BUY ANYTHING FROM ZARETS!!! it's a scam storefront! I thought I was reordering from Momofuku, but they just use their stock images, took my order/money... but NO WAY of contacting the store (Zarets) only a hotmail email address. SHOP customer support was not helpful, and they do not ensure the legitimacy of the vendors on their platform. Never again. If I could give Negative stars I would.

    Avoid Shop Pay!

    Summary: Customer service refused to acknowledge that they auto fill previous addresses and refused to stop payment. I will now call my bank and stop pmt. to Affirm/Shop Pay.

    They need to change their app and STOP using autofill for previous addresses you have sent items to.

    I am not the first person who has fallen into this problem they created.

    Positive: This company will auto fill any address you used to send others items. When I checked out with my billing address, it was not until after I checked out, paid with Shop Pay and received an hour later that my package was sent out of state to someone else I sent something to months ago. There was NO to address on the check out - just billing. Shop Pay refused to do anything about it and the merchant does not change shipping to addresses.

    Negative: Avoid. They will leave you stranded. They need to change their app and STOP using autofill for previous addresses you have sent items to.

    I am not the first person who has fallen into this problem they created.

    No support and the shop cash is a waste of time

    Summary: Very poor, constantly sends spam emails whenever I log into a site that uses Shop Pay trying to force me to log in using the Shop Pay link. Then constantly spams emails with tracking and shop cash expiring notices.

    Shop Cash can't be used to pay for purchases of my choice from vendors that use Shop Pay.

    Shop Pay does not offer a means for payee to not share where they shop or a way to prevent them from getting my tracking information. I did not make an agreement for Shop Pay to access or share my shipping information. I think a class action suit is in order

    Positive: Ease for check out is the only advantage if shop pay, and I do get email receipts. Otherwise I want to be able to opt out of all other notifications, and I do not want Shop Pay to collect my data nor my tracking information for my shipments.

    Summary: I am sorry I used Shop Pay. I don't want to use it ever again. This is the worst payment experience I have ever had.

    Positive: Speed. I cannot say anything else that is positive about Shop Pay. I am going to find out how to discontinue using it.

    I ordered gifts to be sent to my friend. The order I placed a few days later defaulted to my friend's address!!!! It also defaulted to my last payment card number instead of my business number. Support is email only.

    Shop Pay is a Scammer

    Summary: Not worth the trouble!!! Unscrupulous.

    Positive: Not having to enter shipping info and credit card info for each order and tracking is useful. I’m having to search for pros.

    Negative: I was entering a payment last night as one of four payments to Cowhides Direct via Affirm. Arranged by Shop Pay. Would not take my Visa on file. Said only debit card. Against my better judgment I entered debit card. Declined. Tried it again. Declined. Well, you get the picture. My bank called, suspecting fraudulent activity. Four hits on the debit card!! We cancelled debit card and I cancelled Shop Pay. Not worth it.

    Summary: I cringe when using Shop Pay is my only option. I always email or call the vendor and ask if Shop Pay is really the only option. That is how bad it is.

    Positive: Looks pretty and that is about all it has going for it. Plenty of white space and it is a good clean looking interface.

    Negative: Doesn't work well and has usability bugs. Issues with the address map. Issues with zip code validation. Issues with phone number validation. Issues with configured discounts not being added.

    Summary: Shop Pay is impossible to override on websites and delays payments too far in advance. It is difficult to sign into my Shop Pay account and it's not worth it, in my opinion, to use. I'd give this app zero stars if it were an option. I'd rather use PayPal, which is more user-friendly and secure.

    Positive: The only good thing is you don't have to save any info such as shipping/billing address or credit card. But PayPal saves the info with less hassle.

    Negative: It is too difficult to sign into the website. It is like a bully, overriding other options on websites and giving me no option to pay by another method.

    Criminal stalking

    Summary: I purchased a gift magazine subscription and had it mailed directly to the recipient. A few days later, I ordered coffee online from a vendor I have been using for years. Several days later I got a call saying that my coffee had been delivered to the wrong person at the wrong address because it was sent to the magazine gift recipient. I checked my account at the coffee vendor, and ShopPay had BROKEN INTO MY ACCOUNT AND CHANGED MY DEFAULT NAME AND ADDRESS. It wasn't until I contacted the coffee vendor that I realized that: a) ShopPay was the 3rd-party payment collector in both cases and that b) ShopPay was STALKING ME ACROSS THE WEB. I never agreed to do business with ShopPay, I knew nothing about them till this happened. I complained the BBB in Canada (Shopify is a Canadian corporation) and Shopify just blew me off. They didn't care one whit.

    Positive: Nothing. I'm not sure why I have to fill out the Pros section because I have absolutely nothing positive to say about Shopify or ShopPay. As far as I am concerned, they should be charged with Criminal Stalking on the internet.

    Negative: Shopify kept information from a gift purchase from one vendor without my permission and then changed my account shipping address with another vendor without my knowledge so that another purchase (not a gift) was shipped erroneously.     Annoying, waste of time and money

    Summary: I end up not even shopping at websites that require Shop Pay. I cannot login with ease. The login process takes numerous login attempts. It is very demotivating, time consuming and frustrating to login in a regular manner. Then be required to login again. Then several times after that. By that time I am so frustrated I need up just not buying whatever I was intending to buy and just leave or buy the item elsewhere.

    Positive: NONE. NOTHING IS OF VALUE WHEN USING SHOP PAY. I end up not even shopping at websites requiring the use of Shop Pay. The best thing about Shop Pay is that I end up not buying anything became I have only experienced negative interaction with this app. It is a total waste of the user and the merchant as they lose customers due to requiring the customer use the Shop Pay app.

    Negative: Makes Logging in 100 times more difficult, laborious, tedious, time consuming, frustrating. You go to login to a website, you login then have to login several more times because of the Shop Pay feature. It is infuriating to say the least.

    Fraudulent!!!

    Summary: Ordered a one-time pay order through Shop Pay. Had to return one of three items. Vendor refunded Shop Pay, but Shop Pay won't take responsibility for why they didn't refund my credit card. They just say it's between me and my credit card company. They refuse to provide any proof that they refunded my card, and just keep me bouncing between the vendor, who has provided proof of refund to Shop Pay, and my bank, who has no record of refund.

    In other words, shop pay kept the money from the vendor; very simply, this is theft. Finally gave up after 2 months, deleted Shop Pay account, and reported to BBB.

    Positive: Nothing. Very poor customer service and basically just give you the runaround instead of providing support.

    Negative: Won't refund money, just gives runaround and won't take responsibility for lost refund.

    Summary: Scams I spoke with Rep then ask for Supervisor got one to disconnect the call shop pay is a scam to telling me that they do loans how when I paid for this merchandise through your website.

    Positive: My first time being ask to pay through Shop Pay so I used my CC to make the $79.49 payment on the 19th of December 2023 I was told I would receive my package in 7 business days with me getting a order number 1892 and the merchant Weights N Lipstick I reached out to them and company and was told first I wouldn’t be getting a refund how does that work when you have not even sent the package this was my first time going to both website After I get this resolve I will not ever order anything from this company Weights and Lipstick I sent a message to Messenger and call both companies to get a reply that they are working with other companies I think this is one of the biggest SCAMS I have know reported both Weight N Lipstick and Shop Pay to the BBB now back to my bank to dispute this transaction but to be told by a company you spent your money with your not getting it back was like a huge BLOW.
