Summary: Great tool for monitoring your IT Infrastructure. You don't need to be an expert to put it on working for you.

Positive: Easy install.

It helps you save money preventing fails with early alerts.

Negative: When you create a lot of sensors, then it is very difficult/impossible to modify them in a mass way later.

Summary: An excellent monitoring engine that is very reliable, stable, with many possible customizations. Excellent notifications and re notifications. An essential product for any organization.

Positive: Ease of creating sensors, highly flexible with solutions for all types of solutions, scalable, a tool for the entire OSI model, and applicable to the entire business structure.

Negative: Learning curve, dashboards that are very complex to create, however using Grafana creates the perfect monitoring environment, SQL disks in failover but it is possible to bypass.

Summary: I love this product and would like to take the training session so I can know better how to properly use it in our organization.

Positive: Support is always helpful and straight to the point. I am comfortable navigating the product and it is always up to date with new features and capabilities.

Negative: Actually there is nothing on my mind right now it is a lovely product.

Summary: Our PRTG servers have around 40 thousand sensors. Most of servers the redundancy is provided in a cluster.

Positive: Easy configuration. Many types of sensors. Flexible scripting sensor capabilities. Good support. Frequent updates.

Negative: Complicated drawing of custom graphic sensor maps.

Summary: Overall, I am very satisfied with the service that PRTG offers and support is great as well.

Positive: Monitoring software works well at keeping track of important assets and notifying of potential issues.

Negative: Better documentation of potential issues with SNMP devices.

Summary: Cheap (for its return) and useful tool, has a nice smartphone app for on-the-go monitoring and quick checks, even while traveling and on holidays.

Positive: Instant monitoring, quick, easy to setup graphic maps, always on our monitoring screens. Sends warning e-mails and even opens tickets with our support environment.

Negative: Hard to set up Office 365 emails, I had to open a ticket with Paessler to guide me through it.

Summary: Overall, I would recommend this tool to all those tasked with monitoring their infrastructure. Ability to create custom maps for each department allows them to monitor their own systems and act upon alerts. Highly recommend this tool.

Positive: Ability to monitor all aspects of your infrastructure.

Great Map (dashboard) capabilities. Liked ability to do visual diagram of infrastructure and be able to drill into sections when alerting.
As an IT professional I am tasked to learn systems on the fly. The online videos and documentation makes PRTG an easy system to learn.

Negative: At this point I have not found any "Cons" on the application.

Summary: I'm very satisfied with PRTG solution because of the possibilities, interface and price quality ratio.

Positive: This is actually a really good monitoring software. What does it have?

1. User-Friendly Interface - easy for beginners and someone experienced
2. Scalable - it can be adapted to any size and complexity of network in the company.
3. It offers broad range of sensors for example you can monitor bandwidth usage, hardware health, application performance, and many more.
4. The tool provides real-time monitoring, allowing you to get instant insights into the status and performance of your network.
5. You can customize any alerts and notifications based on predefined thresholds.
6. It is storing historical data which allows users to analyze trends and patterns over time from particular sensors.
7. You can can automatically discover devices on the network and create a visual map of the infrastructure.
8. It also supports integration with various third-party tools and technologies.

Negative: For me there are no cons. Was working with open source Zabbix and PRTG is way more friendly to configure.

Summary: The ability to install and use the product in a small amount of time. It's fabulous when you start to see such easily achievable results.

Positive: The product is quite easy to use. Easy and very powerful. With the possibility of connecting to different environments with its powerful API.

Negative: The cost of the product. It is expensive to small company.

Summary: This product is quite easy and very friendly to install and operate and you can explore the MIB so you can choose the right OID for a sensor.

It is recommended to be monitor tool software and it has been proven.

Positive: It is quite easy to operate and is a good and complete resource and has proven to be the choice of network administrators in various IT administrator circles.

Negative: Can only be used on the Windows operating system but it's not a big problem.

Summary: In total, the product is quite good and with enough possibilities to expand all the monitoring cases.

Positive: The product has been on the market for years. It remains stable and continues to offer more features. PRTG support is excellent.

Negative: Although it is a good product. The price is too high for medium-sized companies.

Summary: Good product, very good support (extremely important!), and in the standards area, a pretty complete portfolio in terms of scope of services.

Positive: PRTG is an extremely useful monitoring tool with a seemingly endless range of functions, at least once out of the realm of "the possible" is felt here no limit, because you can somehow bend everything to your liking, and if you ever get stuck, Paessler's support conjures a BETA sensor out of the bag, and you are provided with what you would like. Properly exposed, and sensibly configured and maintained, hardly any wishes remain unfulfilled, and if they do, they are at least of an exotic nature, and somehow the girls and guys from the support department manage to bend an existing sensor so that it can be monitored after all.

Negative: Sometimes I am a bit overwhelmed because of the clearly winding paths to the goal, and here a much more extensive knowledge base would be much more helpful, but as already mentioned, the support helps you with almost all questions, so that you ultimately get to your goal.

From a certain performance level, i.e. > 1,000 active sensors, the sheet metal under the PRTG core should be well performing and have a really fast network connection to the probes, otherwise the whole thing becomes a bit sluggish.

Summary: PRTG is a tool that is critical to my daily work in infrastructure. I could not do the job I do without it.
PRTG is so useful, I use PRTG in both my work and personal life in order to give me the insight I need to support my users with the quickest possible turnaround.
PRTG makes me look like a super hero because I have my finger on the pulse and have all the information I need at my fingertips.
I can't rate PRTG Network Monitor highly enough, I highly recommend.

Positive: * The 100 sensor Free Licence is so good that I use PRTG in community volunteer work for very small system monitoring applications.
* The ease of adding devices, automatically discovering them and alerting set on threholds that I can control is fantastic.
* The ability to store comments in the Sensors, Devices and branches of the Hierarchy tree is brilliant. We often use PRTG as a knowledge repository for comments and pertinent information about a site or system.
* The flexibility to easily rearrange items and modify the setup is brilliant
* I love having a GUI Desktop app as well as the Web interface to use

Negative: * The web interface is difficult to use for very large deployments, but the Desktop app does a brilliant job, so it doesn't matter really!
