Summary: My previous company used TextRecruit which largely lacked in automation. When I started to use Grayscale, I was able to take lead in recruitment automation for high volume recruitment roles which has been an immense time saver in my day-to-day operations. I no longer have to set up calendar reminders of individual candidates I need to follow up with, Grayscale allows me to "set it and forget it" while still creating a personalized candidate experience and ensuring candidates receive timely communication from me. I can't ever imagine going back to my old ways of recruiting and keeping candidates warm!

Positive: Automation integration with ATS - something many texting companies don't have!

Beginner friendly.
Imports .CVS files for easy quick, bulk contact information.

Negative: Could include more variables to include in snippets for a more personalized candidate experience.
Automation will only work well if no additional third-party softwares are used with your ATS.

Summary: Grayscale has greatly improved our communication. The ability to schedule texts is a gamechanger and eliminates forgetting to reply and sending a text too early/late in the day. I'm able to start the day with replies and be that much more efficient.

Positive: Easy to use, clean look, message templates, and message scheduling so it can be sent at the right time.

Negative: Sessions are timed so you have to log-in often and don't always see a reply. A voice message feature might also be helpful.

Summary: I've been using it for exactly 30 days and I'm in love. Great tool for recruitment. Text is the next wave of communication and this tool meets the need.

Positive: It integrates well with all my other applications and makes communication during call list fast and seamless. I love how easy it is to operate and has great functionality.

Negative: You only get an alert if you've sent a text to the candidate previously.
You cant search by phone #s which would be helpful in different cases.

Summary: Overall my experience with GRAYSCALE has been a positive one. I use it on a daily basis to keep in contact with potential Candidates.

Positive: The pros of using GRAYSCALE include the ease of use, features, design, support, and pricing. I enjoy using this product.

Negative: The cons of using GRAYSCALE were not being able to initially unable to locate the feature where you receive an email when you are contacted. Upon direction of these features it became more user friendly.

Summary: Overall, this product has been very useful to contact my candidates and it is very user friendly. It's quick and efficient.

Positive: I like that you can send bulk messages to candidates quickly advertising the job. I also really like the chrome extension so that I can send out messages quickly and easily to candidates directly from my ATS page.

Negative: The only thing I don't like about Greyscale is that my phone number isn't unique to me, our onboarding team texts from the same number I text so sometimes it can confuse the candidate as to who's reaching out since the texts come from the same number.

Summary: Not bad Easy to use the program being that I never use it before, updates quickly, easy to navigate the page.

Negative: Wish it merged with our system so we didn't have to type everyone in.

Summary: Great experience overall. Easy to use responses are much quicker than using my cell phone also love the notifications via email and through the text for new messages.

Positive: Easy way to quickly communicate with candidates along with giving visibility to my Team and local business.

Negative: I wish Grayscale had options to edit text and set up reminders.

Summary: I enjoy the advantages of Grayscale very much and utilize it daily for sourcing and reaching out to employees. There are many ways to use Grayscale, the automations and scheduled to send messages are two of my personal favorites.

Positive: Easy to use and effective for automations, bulk messages and scheduling messages. Reporting to show effectiveness.

Negative: Each action is set up for a specific stage on a specific job. This is more of a fault on our end with our ATS. Grayscale in nature needs specific tags or jobs to initiate outreach. If our ATS was more organized we could utilize Grayscale on a larger scale. However, for now, even with our current ATS, Grayscale is a huge help!

Summary: 4.5/5 stars- only been using a short time but it has helped my daily work become simplified. More time effective.

Positive: Bulk message send out, uploading contacts with CVS. Gives data feedback that is helpful. User friendly!

Negative: Transitioning to a new message while in a conversation could be simplified.

Summary: As communication tool I really appreciate the implementation with Greenhouse at this case. The option to have the mobile app and the way that makes our work easy and the priceless image that we generate on the loyalty with the candidate as company.

Positive: We usually use Grayscale to reinforce and develop our communication with candidates that We are trying to contact or those who we arrange a meeting.
Easy to automatize messages following the stage where the candidate is or to communicate the situation of a process.

Negative: I would say that the integration with the mobile app it is kind of weird, just because I would like to watch easily the chats with people that replied to the messages. Like to inbox easily differentiated by activity of sent messages and Conversation that were replied.
On the other Hand, I would like to included the option to cancel those messages that we send and maybe were wrong

Summary: It is a good solution specially if you are a recruiter that doesn't own an international or US number. Candidates usually respond through there and allows quick communication.

Positive: I can text candidates world wide, it is integrated in my ATS, very simple and intuitive to use, and is a good solution if you don't own a phone number in the candidate's location.

Negative: No emojis... it is useful for sounding friendly with candidates. I don't always get notified so I miss texts for 2-3 days until I remember to check the inbox again.

The candidates receive messages from different people through the same number which could be confusing.

Summary: Overall, Grayscale has made work easier and more efficient! It has made candidate contact much more streamlined!

Positive: Grayscale has been an extremely helpful addition to my recruiting tool box! Love the ease of use, the ability to see all candidate communication directly in my ATS!

Negative: Not a con, but it would be nice if different recruiters could show as different numbers when contacting the same candidates.

Summary: It's been wonderful being able to have this software. My team and I use it on a daily basis, and don't know how we worked without it!

Positive: Grayscale is user friendly and they have amazing customer support when you need it. My entire team loves the ease of this software. Being able to track or document text conversations is crucial for HR purposes.

Negative: My biggest con is that you are not able to delete duplicate candidates that have been entered into the software. If you upload an Excel file with say 3 applicants/employees already entered into Grayscale's Talent Pool, you receive no notification that the 3 people are already entered and then have no way to delete them. Very small/minor con overall.

Summary: Grayscale has really streamlined our communication with candidates. Our target candidate pool operate in large scale plant manufacturing settings, where often times there is little to no cell reception. Grayscale's technology gets through despite this technological challenge. This is especially important in a very fast paced candidate driven market where time makes or breaks everything. The integration within our ATS (Lever) has meshed really well. My one criticism per se is that alerts only take place if you are in a candidate's particular SMS text string, and generally I don't need an alert if I am in candidate's text string. Creating a desktop text alert with an extension might remedy this problem, but I am not a developer. Overall, our recruitment team is very pleased with the product and I would recommend other talent acquisition professionals to sign on if they are on the fence.

Negative: Product downtime at inopportune times (which isn't very often).
Alerts are not intuitive.

Summary: Overall I see this product as an asset to my job and I am really glad that my company invested in this for our recruiting.

Positive: I really like the app and using it via chrome extension! It is so cool to me how it can match the area code to the person I am contacting. The reminder texts are super helpful to me and my prospects.

Negative: It often logs you out and you do not realize it. Regardless of the Chrome extension or the actual webpage. I also wish there was a way to send and receive pictures.
