Generates problems Date: Dec 20 2021
Summary: An operating system difficult to use, maintain or importantly, to trust. There is an impressive gap in the most obvious user-friendly basics, e.g having to click on a random banner above an empty address field (as opposed to clicking on the address field itself), in order to fill it. Having to click on an answer in order to be asked it again and having pointless Okay buttons as pop ups after one has pressed something. Glitches include not being able to book the amount of tickets available, unless setting them at the wrong times, or changing the capacity.
Positive: Updates tickets in real time across multiple networks. Allows for a large amount of data storage, though a little pointlessly in the large part (too much choice confuses each function).
Negative: Severe lack of user-friendliness, unergonomic and counter-intuitive. Bad design and interface generates bugs and loops - a dizzying array of needless options (over a hundred on any one screen) means operators are often forced into 'tricking' the system, where data often does not correspond between screens. Lengthy processes means a very slow rate of performance/ action -for example booking a school is a 27 -35 step process, and resources are constantly spent hiring extra hands eg creating a backlog of hundreds of bookings, that in turn generates ever more issues and emails. Training needs to be highly specialised and generates user error throughout, as well as high stress levels.
