From MobileMonkey HERO to Customers.ai ZERO Date: Oct 03 2023
Summary: When a company messes up, own it. Instead, they double down. I used them for over a year, and would NOT recommend them with how they treated me.
Positive: There is nothing about the new brand (They charged me $200 more without authorization and won’t credit the amount) . The old brand, Mobile Monkey had amazing sales and customer service. My rep was top-notch, helping me build out my auto-responder and chat tool. I was very sad to see he was gone with the new company.
Negative: Customers.AI is a crap show on both the software (web interface, it's a mess) and customer service. I didn't hear back for three weeks! They didn't even bother to say why they charged me $200 more. When I canceled my account, they said they required a month's notice. I requested that they credit the $200, and I will gladly pay for the remaining balance for the month. They declined AND SENT ME TO COLLECTIONS. This could be a doc on how to destroy a service.

Confusing Interface, Got Me Flagged for SPAM, Friendly but not Helpful Customer Support Date: Apr 04 2023
Summary: Again, clunky execution on the platform. Super surprised that they decided to prioritize keeping a few hundred dollars rather than making things right. That spoke volumes for me about what MobileMonkey/Customer.AI truly values.
Positive: Loved the concept and loved how pricing looked initially. Was very excited to try MobileMonkey/Customer.AI, but wasn't thrilled at all with the execution.
Negative: The interface is really bad. It's difficult to navigate and feel confident that you've set it up the right way. We created a campaign which very quickly got us flagged for SPAM with our email provider. We made some adjustments once we understood what was happening, but decided to turn the platform off. Ends up we got charged again during the next billing period. After a few back and forth emails with their customer service team, they told me they wouldn't be providing a refund...even though we hadn't used the service since we shut it down the month prior. Transparency is a big deal and clearly MobileMonkey doesn't provide that.

The idea is great. Their customer support was prompt and kind/professional, but I was really surprised at how poorly this went. I buy/use marketing technology every single day and this has been a particularly negative experience.
