Description
Port Detective is a Windows port inspection and troubleshooting tool built for developers, IT teams, and technical users who need a faster way to diagnose blocked ports. The application shows which processes are listening on ports, including the process name, PID, and executable path. Instead of switching between Task Manager, Resource Monitor, PowerShell, and command-line utilities, users can search a port and see the owner immediately. The free version includes core port visibility, instant lookup, and a small number of safe kills for terminating conflicting processes. Port Detective Pro expands the tool with unlimited protected process kills, a Ctrl+K command palette, parent and child process inspection, and connection-history exports. Its Port Guard watchdog can monitor important ports every 250 milliseconds and optionally remove intruding processes while restoring the correct owner. The Pro edition also supports remote scans of servers, VMs, Docker bridges, and host-to-container port mapping. Port Detective is built as a native Rust and Tauri application, helping it stay lightweight, fast, and typically under 50 MB of RAM. The software gives Windows users a focused, privacy-conscious way to handle port conflicts without subscriptions, telemetry, or unnecessary system-monitoring clutter.
Description
PortControl is an innovative, web-based information system designed for port authorities and operators, offering a modular approach to port management. It streamlines vessel-call workflows onto a unified platform, encompassing various functions such as vessel scheduling, berth allocation, resource management, pilot dispatch, and communication with agents and suppliers via self-service portals. Finance departments can efficiently oversee port dues, tariffs, discounts, receivables, and the creation of invoices within the system. Additionally, it provides a cohesive operational perspective for port teams while accommodating multi-terminal operations. Ports have the flexibility to implement modules gradually, and they can integrate PortControl with MaritimeControl VTS or other existing systems through its versatile open API architecture, which supports connections to third-party VTS, Maritime Single Window, customs, and port community systems. By adopting PortControl, ports can enhance their operational efficiency and improve collaboration among all stakeholders involved.
