Description
Plain Clipboard Manager (PCM) is a tool designed for Windows that tracks the clipboard and stores copied text in utf-8 (unicode) format within plain text files. Each entry logged includes details about the originating application and the title of the document, and for text sourced from web pages, it incorporates a link to the original page. Additionally, any images or screenshots copied are preserved as PNG files, utilizing lossless compression methods. Users have the flexibility to configure the storage location for their clipboard items, allowing for options such as saving directly to cloud services like Dropbox or OneDrive for easy synchronization. PCM can be either installed on a system or run directly from a USB stick, with all settings and clip notes retained on the removable device when used in this manner. As a lightweight native Windows application, it boasts a compact size of just 0.5 MB, making it a much smaller alternative compared to other clipboard management tools. Furthermore, PCM offers a unique feature that enables users to set up short keywords, known as key templates, which are automatically expanded into complete phrases when typed in any application, enhancing productivity and efficiency. Ultimately, Plain Clipboard Manager serves as a versatile and efficient solution for managing clipboard data.
Description
Qlipper serves as the standard clipboard manager for Lubuntu, automatically launching in the system tray where its icon resembles a clipboard. You can access your clipboard history by either left-clicking this icon or using the keyboard shortcut Control+Alt+V. To select an item from your history, simply click on it in the menu that appears. If you've copied sensitive information, such as a password, and need to clear your clipboard history, right-click on the tray icon and choose the option to clear the clipboard history. For those times when you prefer not to save or display your clipboard history temporarily, you can exit Qlipper by right-clicking the clipboard icon and selecting quit. To adjust the settings of Qlipper, right-click on the tray icon and choose configure, allowing you to set preferences such as losing stored history upon closure. Additionally, you have the option to select an item for a consistent clipboard experience, and you can synchronize the clipboard with the selection clipboard for better integration. This functionality makes Qlipper a versatile tool for managing clipboard data effectively.
