BackUp Maker Description

Malware, accidental deletion, and hardware defects can put valuable files at risk. BackUp Maker helps you create dependable backups with minimal effort, giving you a reliable copy of your data whenever you need it.

Select the files, folders, or drives you want to protect, define a schedule or trigger-based backup, and choose a suitable destination. BackUp Maker stores your data efficiently in ZIP archives on local and external drives, network locations, USB media, web servers, or in the cloud.

Protect confidential content with powerful AES encryption of up to 256 bits. Encrypted backup archives can also be transferred securely to web servers using SFTP or FTP/FTPS.

BackUp Maker supports a flexible backup strategy tailored to your needs. Back up only new and modified files, maintain several backup generations, distribute copies across different storage locations, and run custom actions before or after each backup. This makes it easy to automate comprehensive, space-saving, and secure data protection.

Best Backup Program On The Market

    Date: Sep 04 2026

Summary: Best and easiest backup program on the market. I like the ability to immediately just go to my file a manager, find the backed up file, and simply unzip it, without needing a special program to un-encrypt it.
I like the way that it intuitively deletes the oldest backup to make room for the newest.

    Positive: Extreamly versatile and intuitive.
We prefer non-encrypted backup, so if we mess up a file and need to retrieve a backup, it is as simple as going to the place that we backed it up and unzipping it..that's it.
    Very affordable.

Negative: Step by step backup setup instructions would be a nice addition.

    Data backup: simple yet powerful

    Edited: Sep 01 2026

Summary: This type of software – which isn’t overloaded but still offers all the features you need – is very practical for everyday use. If you can overlook the rather unattractive yellow and blue layout, you’ll find a backup programme that ticks all the boxes, is surprisingly easy to use despite – or perhaps because of – its old-fashioned interface, and provides security for your data at a comparatively low price.

Positive: BackUp Maker has a very clear layout, which is particularly helpful for those new to data backup. The programme guides you effectively through the process of setting up your own backup. Gradually, you realise just how many options the software offers. For example, the backup files can be stored in the cloud with 256-bit encryption or transferred to a server via FTP. The timing and frequency of the backups can also be specified in great detail. Certain events can also be taken into account in this process. Certain processes can be triggered before and after each backup. This can also be done using your own scripts, which are launched by BackUp Maker. However, if you prefer, you can also keep it simple.

Negative: The interface looks very old-fashioned and you easily feel as though you’ve been transported back 10 to 20 years. It also cannot be resized or customised in any other way to suit your own preferences. Because of this somewhat antiquated appearance, it’s easy to overlook just how capable the software is and how modern it really is underneath the surface.

Positive: Extensive configuration possible based on backup options (incremental, full, etc.), the storage (LAN), and the settings options (which data types, etc.)
