Description
The DSWi Port Manager is a comprehensive application designed specifically for managing port operations, catering to the needs of port operators and their teams. This tool integrates vessel and customer data with scheduling for vessel calls, applications for berths, tracking of cargo and commodities, and updates on operational status. Additionally, it facilitates billing processes related to port activities, encompassing dockage fees, service charges, and the management of receivables across various customer parties. Users can also handle leases, contracts, and billing related to port-owned assets and equipment. Enhanced with reporting capabilities and dashboards, the system allows for a thorough review of both activity and financial operations. Built on the robust Microsoft Dynamics framework, it effectively merges port workflows with essential business and accounting functions. This enables port teams to efficiently coordinate vessel arrivals, manage detailed customer and asset information, and maintain oversight of both operational and financial records, ensuring streamlined port management.
Description
The Virtual Serial Port Driver, developed by Electronic Team, is a utility that simulates a serial port and pairs it with another virtual serial port through a virtual null modem cable.
The software is capable of fully replicating the settings of real serial ports, including support for HandFlow control and signal lines, ensuring that the virtual ports are recognized by the operating system as if they were standard hardware serial ports.
Data transmitted to one virtual COM port is instantly mirrored in the other, creating a seamless communication link. Once a pair of virtual serial ports is established, they can be located in the Device Manager and are ready for use right from system startup, even prior to user login.
For developers looking to incorporate this functionality into their applications, the Virtual Serial Port Driver can be integrated using a DLL, ActiveX, or through core level usage, allowing for the direct creation and management of virtual COM ports within their software environment.
This integration capability provides flexibility and enhances the functionality of applications that require serial communication.
