Chatty is a dedicated desktop chat application tailored for Twitch, replicating the feel of traditional IRC clients. It is compatible with Windows and any system that runs Java 8 or newer, enabling users to engage with multiple channels through tabbed interfaces, split views, or distinct windows. This client boasts a variety of features such as the ability to mark favorite channels, maintain chat logs, implement flexible message highlighting and ignoring, customize chat colors and fonts, and choose from multiple themes including a dark mode. Users are alerted when their followed channels go live and can effortlessly launch streams in their preferred browser or utilize external applications like Streamlink for quick access. For streamers, Chatty provides an array of tools to manage stream titles, select games and tags, run advertisements, display recent followers and subscribers, and analyze viewer history through graphs. Moderation capabilities include customizable user dialogs, support for AutoMod, and the option to create personalized commands. Moreover, the client integrates emotes from platforms like FrankerFaceZ and BetterTTV, features a unified bot badge, and supports emote tab completion, enhancing the overall user experience. Ultimately, Chatty is designed to streamline interactions on Twitch while catering to both viewers and streamers alike.
