DLR's Journal: Over rated?

Y'know, I'm getting sick and tired of my comments getting moderated Overrated. And the funny thing is that it's only the controversial topics that get modded Overrated. So, what will it take to at least get Overrated renamed to "-1 Politically Opposed"? Assuming we could be honest and objective on a controversial topic for once on Slashdot....

So here is my intention: All metamoderation I do of Overrated will be Unfair by default. And there had best be some very compelling reason that I will find something Overrated, or it will stay Unfair.

Here [slashdot.org] is another one, or some jerk mod bombing me. Or maybe someone just badly needs to get a life. Perhaps they could d/l a sense of humor from the Internet since it was supposed to be a joke.

Just in case someone views this after linked comment has been modded Funny (if ever), it was modded from 1 to 0 as Overrated, just so you know what this rant is about.

Metamoderation

Well I've been taking metamoderation more seriously of late. The default for everything used to be Fair for me, but I've been seeing tons of stuff that should be modded Funny being modded OffTopic or Flamebate. And as I check the context of things I'm finding that many Slashdotters don't seem to know the meaning of the word Redundant. Why do people moderate a comment as Redundant when there are no other comments of a similar nature in the discussion? I mean this is supposed to be a forum of computer pro
