Orielly's Running Linux
Sam's Teach yourself Visual Basic in 21 Days
A QUE book on HTML,
some publisher's Black Book of Visual Basic
4 or 5 A+ Cert books and the big tome Repairing and Upgrading PC's (like 12th edition)
several other Visual Basic books

I'm an engineering major, but I've still been thinking about getting certified in something IT related. Are those A+ Certifications worth it? What about the A+ books themselves?
I always used the (imho, excellent) help functions in Office. Running Linux is a pretty decent book, even though it seems a little dated and the authors seem a little arrogant.
