intermodal's Journal: Jake takes it in the rear

Got rear ended on sunday in my Police Interceptor (named jake). Tried a few times to write a clever entry on it but failed. Not much cosmetic damage...I hope the non-cosmetic damage is of similar insignificance. Nothing like an F-150 into your rear pushing you into a '97 Contour to brighten your day.

I hit a gaurd rail on the Redwood 101 stretch (almost went over into the ocean) after some hippy chick dropped her cherry in the back seat of my car two days ago, two bad she wasn't a virgin or even clean when I got her to her mildew-smelling trailer. Not a lot of damage though, maybe 1 feet of side impact. I've been staying away from moving vehicles since than, video games and masturbation are way safer than real life. The next place I am driving is the free clinic for an STD test.

Cool! You can get a 2000 Police Interceptor for only $10K! I notice they're all Ford Crown Vics, though, which have come under heavy scrutiny recently for exploding in rear-end collisions [kmiz.com]. That one's been a big buzz here in Motown for a while. I'm assuming yours didn't. ;)

Actually, from what i've been seeing as a pattern, it tends to happen on freeways where they are being hit at very high speeds...I have a feeling it may either be related to police equipment in the trunk (i.e. flares, jacks, ammuntion), and/or the related high-speeds that they are being hit at on the freeway. I've not heard about civilians getting the same result, though that doesn't mean it doesn't happen. Perhaps it just doesn't get the same publicity.
