Time for some trustbusting

  • Even stipulating that a company is ethical and swell, there is no guarantee that the company's "innocent" data horde cannot be plundered and abused in other contexts.

    To be online is to exit the Garden of Privacy Eden.

    This realization suggests that we need to give more thought to how we interact with the internet, perhaps redesigning the whole system to provide more layers of indirection to the individual.

    Basically, make everything a bit TOR-ish system. (waves hands)
