Persuasion=hypnotism. Scott Adams had a whole year of blog posts on the subject, based on his own anti-free will, calvinist atheist point of view that human beings are irrational moist robots and that rationality is not a survival trait (and thus, is still a bit of a mutation in the general population).

That's because they aren't. Original sin is the free will theological version of the same point, and it's the most easily proved theological theory that has ever been written. Without an external morality, idiots will choose actions for short term subjective gain, to the long term objective harm of themselves and their neighbors. The only question is how to make them aware of it.

Actually, he did so *after* he came out for Trump....I remember posting comments during the primaries.
