Journal Marxist Hacker 42's Journal: Meet the new protesters, same as the old protesters 3
A recent poll of Occupy Protesters turned up these three top concerns:
1. get the money out of politics.
2. reform the banking system to prevent fraud and manipulation, with the most frequent item being to restore the Glass-Steagall Act
3. draft laws against the little-known loophole that currently allows members of Congress to pass legislation affecting Delaware-based corporations in which they themselves are investors.
Gee, where have I heard these before? Could it be from the Tea Party? And before that the Constitution/Reform Party? And before that Ross Perot?
When will we actually get solutions, instead of just naming problems?

When we actually want them. For now it's much easier just to keep doing what we've been doing for thousands of years to avoid seeing the real culprits in the mirror. A small consequence of 'upward mobility'. Everything else comes second after that.

...will prolly naturally have a few grievances in common. But that doesn't make them anywhere near the same as each other. I'm on-board with (what I perceive to be) the Tea Party principles, but that differs vastly from what the OWS and other Leftist movements espouse.
