The Myth and Reality of Ronald Reagan

  • he was an actor... should anyone actually be surprised that he was a master of rhetoric, rather than policy?

    • Actually, this guy suggests he was not only an actor- but a bought and paid for actor, ideology meant NOTHING beyond the words.

      • He was bought and paid - but the unique quality of Reagan was his cheerful cognitive dissonance. He happily believed the scripts that he was reading from.

        That's why he was so effective - he'd fooled himself first - and gave the impression of commitment and dedication.

Simplicity does not precede complexity, but follows it.
