Okay, maybe that was a *little* harsh, but only a little. The reality is you can't fix a broken system by adding another broken system, and that's what the current proposals do.

...is to get something open-ended passed, while they have the control of the congress and whitehouse. Then they can start implementing at their leisure what they're really after, *without debate*. That does seem to be the final goal, doesn't it? Who cares if this health care "reform" is effective or not. Once you set the precedent for government control of health care you can tweak it to do whatever you want at a later date. My favorite little trick they've employed is starting the new taxes and fees right away but not starting any of the spending until a few years down the line. Much easier to get a good CBO score when you have 10 years of revenues and only 6 years of expenses. I wonder if I co
