Journal Marxist Hacker 42's Journal: Time to face the traitors in our midst. 24

If we can't get bin Laden, given the information we got over the weekend as to what went wrong the last time, combined with what we now know as a single tribal leader that has frustrated the US invasion of the area combined with certain politicians in the United States who have committed treason by aiding and abetting al Qaida over the last 8 years, along with the Original treasonous refusal to extradite bin Laden to begin with, can we at least target Gulbuddin Hekmatyar for a couple of hundred Predator missions and then arrest and put George W. Bush on trial for giving aid and comfort to the enemy?

We can follow that up with arrests and public trials and executions of bankers and traders on Wall Street for causing the terrorism of September 2008. It is time the world learned that neither violent nor economic terrorism will be tolerated by the American people without some revenge.

    • Unfortunately, Americans aren't Christian by and large. And without this vengeance, our military industrial complex is beginning to collapse.

Which may well be God's plan- but it's certainly destroying the American Dream from the bottom up.

But the real point in all of this, is that GWB isn't the savior of the nation the right-wing thinks he is; he is instead guilty of treason and giving aid and comfort to America's enemies, both foreign (OBL) and domestic (Wall Street Bankers).

I wasn't addressing Americans, I was addressing you. I find your call for vengeance to be disturbingly non-Christian.

        • When faced with a secular society, even Christians have to become secular. Until there is a theocracy in the United States, one must work within the secular mindset on such things- and the call to vengeance comes from the secular mindset.

Don't like it? Then work to revoke the anti-Christian parts of the Constitution that allow such treason.

          • When faced with a secular society, even Christians have to become secular.

That's not what your savior preached.

            • That's not what your savior preached.

Yes, but what my savior preached- and the logical economic, foreign relations in trade and war, and governance consequences of that teaching- are specifically blocked by Article I Sections 8 & 10, and the First Amendment to the Constitution of the United States of America, and are thus illegal. ESPECIALLY if you read the "economic encyclicals" which I've posted links to here [blogspot.com] which urge subsidiarity in such matters (that the FAMILY should be the basic unit of

              • Vengeance is typically illegal too, so where does that place you?

                • Actually, Vengeance isn't only legal, it's downright required in a case like this. That's what we have police and courts for- to take vengeance for us in cases of criminal behavior. That's what the jails and the electric chair are for.

In what twisted reading of the New Testament have you or the rest of the papists managed to twist the Word such that it endorses revenge by man against man?

                    • It's unfair to tar one billion people because of the words of one angry individual.

                    • None. It's the twisted reading of the American Government that endorses revenge by man against man- completely separate from scripture.

Damned hippie rabble rouser I assume you're referring to?

                    • Especially when one's comments come not from scripture, but from the Constitution of the United States.

                    • Only if Thomas Jefferson was such- after all, my point is that we're dealing not with Christianity, but Constitution.

                    • by gmhowell ( 26755 )

                      Jefferson was a rabble rouser.

I'm interested in how you decide whether the Constitution, the Bible, or some Papal missive is your guiding thought. It seems to be situational based on criteria I haven't yet figured out.

                    • It's situation based on duty.

It's the duty of the Church to protect our souls. The Bible, Papal missives, and idealism are all a part of that. One integrated part, I should say- I can no more remove the Bible from Papal encyclicals than I can remove my finger from my hand.

It's the duty of the STATE to protect our way of life- and while the state should pay at least some attention to the ideals of souls, it really has to work within the temporal world; it's limited to science. And furthermore, in a State

Ahh, I think I see a few places where we would probably reach an impasse. You place far more faith in both the state and a man (the pope) than I do. In addition, you seem to place nearly as much import on physical well being as on eternal salvation.

                    • I place equal on physical well being as eternal salvation- the man who starves to death before he can be saved goes to hell as surely as the man who is well fed through denying necessities to others.

And, my faith in the Pope isn't actually in the man- Hitler himself could sit on the chair of St. Peter and would end up making the same decisions, I'm convinced after reading the biographies of the last 20 Popes that the office changes the man, often drastically. That's what I meant when I said the Pope has al

So your religious beliefs are great except when they are not? The admonition to turn the other cheek is ok except when you get pissed?

            • No. There are ideals, and there is reality, and the two have a wall between them that no one man can breach.

The ideal is that Jesus Christ is the King of the Kingdom of Heaven. The reality is that the Kingdom of Heaven was defeated once and for all on the cross.

One must not be of the world in one's heart, but one has no choice but to live in the world. And in the world, Christ does not rule, but rather Satan.

And under Satan's power, vengeance is not only encouraged- in some cases it's mandatory.

              • Satan rules the world, so therefore we must reject acting like children of God and instead act like children of this (lost) world!? I regret giving you the benefit of the doubt that you're a Christian. Unfortunately it's all theoretical to you, or for a different place and time. You're a Christian like the "Reverends" Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson are Christians -- with Christianity taking a back seat to (solid Left-wing, i.e. the heathens') politics.

                • Satan rules the world, so therefore we must reject acting like children of God and instead act like children of this (lost) world!?

We are children of this (lost) world, from that point of view.

Like I said, you seem to think living like a child of God is for after this life. Good luck explaining that one on Judgment Day.

you were just as much for revenge on the Islamics

The Iraq war had nothing to do with revenge -- like Afghanistan, Iraq was about (despite what additional reasons were given) removing the environment that permitted terrorist training camps. This was purely defensive, to, like freezing bank accounts, prevent further attacks. You should at least kno

                    • Like I said, you seem to think living like a child of God is for after this life.

It is. If living like a child of God was for this life, we'd have no free will, no freedom, there would be no sin, there would be no difference between heaven and earth.

Good luck explaining that one on Judgment Day.

Actually, on that one, I'm hoping the reverse is true, and that God has a damn good explanation for putting us through this vale of tears.

The Iraq war had nothing to
