A Kentucky census worker found hanging from a tree with the word "fed" written on his chest killed himself and staged his death to look like a murder, authorities said Tuesday.

I'm not sure where the conspiracy theory is. I, for one, never discussed this event previously. The only account I have ever seen of someone alleging anything else about it is in a link from the very story you posted a link to:
