So, turns out Comrade John is going to risk having people suss out he suffered a minor stroke this week and will be participating in the debates.
In Seattle, this means the Spitfire Grill in Belltown. There's a facebook event for it, of course (heck, the Spitfire is a person on Facebook, and one of my Facebook friends).
Republicans are welcome, as we always welcome Socialists like them, but they have to use non-WaMu checks to pay for their bar tabs.

I don't mean Socialism as in Canada's NDP or the UK's Labor Party.
I mean the melding of the worst parts of Socialism and Communism which is the Republican Party in the USA today - where the Party Elites, with their multiple daschas (Soviet word for party members mansions), rip off the capitalist Middle Class majority to bankroll their comrades.

I don't see what's socialist about what Bush is doing at all. It's corporatist. The power of the government to tax is used to assist a corporation.
This is socialism, and this is my plan:
1) Socialize the loans. That means, we TAKE the loans and the assets (houses). All of them. No payment whatsoever. The government assumes all of the "bad" debt. As GW said, only the government has the resources and the patience that it takes to make these things pay off.
