I hate day light saving. I hate day light saving in general and day light saving in Australia in particular. Yes, obviously it's super-important to save on that precious day light in a place where the sun seems to shine all the bloody time. NOT!

Day light saving is an invention by the devil. That's what it is.

  • I think that whole Daylight Savings deal is just another way for the "powers that be" to show us all that, yes, as a matter of fact, they DO control everything important, including time itself, and if they want to make us lose an hour or gain an hour, yes, as a matter of fact, they CAN legislate that. :: takes off tin foil hat ::
    • I don't entirely share your aversion to government. I think a lot of the recent seriously intrusive legislation we have seen in various Anglo-sphere nations can be put down to extremely noisy, sticky-beak do-gooders, who for some obscure reason gets a lot of airtime/ink devoted to them and therefore exerts an undue influence on politics.

      The reason these people so love daylight saving is that they don't bloody have a life and all they want to do is to force to normal people to get up even earlier in the morn
  • Due to the fact that I completely forgot about it.... I had an extra hour this morning before I had to go into work. :-)
    Which allowed me to get some stuff done that I just knew that I wasn't going to get done today. (Get up earlier? Surely you jest!)

      Well, I forgot about it too ... and half of my Sunday was decidedly surrealistic as a consequence. And I was decidedly not happy. As for getting up earlier when summertime ends: nobody in their right mind would do any such thing; that would be perversion of nature and human kind.
