RM6f9's Journal: 10th Anniv. Party

Thank you to Pudge and the others who worked on the party - the pizza and soda were good, our hosts (Amazon) were very kind both in providing the space and with adding in some door prizes (I actually WON something - yay!) - contrary to stereotypes and beliefs, there are some very nice ladies who slashdot (yeah, I know, verbing nouns wierds language)... Met *nocomment*, thank you for the conversation... any time one can add a friend, that time has not been wasted.

Yeah thanks for the conversation, I don't imagine it crossed anyone's mind that getting a room full of introverted geeks wouldn't make for a good time.

Still planning on trying out the dry ice in a coke bottle trick though!

i realized afterward I worded that porrly. It was still a good time, even though I was late and missed a lot. rm69f was the highlight of my evening. Meeting pudge was fun since I remember him from the 'olden days'. I read his MacPERL: Power and Ease book, and used it to write a signup procedure for an ISP I was working at at the time.
