Black Waters Run Deep

  • If *Romney* wins, America loses, granted.

But Obama (and I still think we should nominate Edwards) has introduced legislation to regulate them - your kneejerk cynicism is perhaps not justified in this case?
    • They don't have the same strings attached - but bring their own onerous attachments.

No one heard of Edwards in 2002 - then after attending the Bilderberg conference, he was Kerry's running mate in a couple of months.

The company will run its business - no matter who the general manager appears to be.
      • Certainly the institutions invovled are corrupt.

But I don't think this illustrates the point you seem to be making at all. There's an obvious difference between the candidates in this case, even if it might be characterized as marginal.
      • Randolph Duke: Pay up, Mortimer. I've won the bet.
        Mortimer Duke: Here, one dollar.
Randolph Duke: [chuckling] We took a perfectly useless *psychopath* like Valentine, and turned him into a successful executive. And during the same time, we turned an honest, hard-working man into a violently... deranged, would-be killer!
        [laughs]
Randolph Duke: Now, what are we going to do about taking Winthorpe back and returning Valentine to the ghetto?
Mortimer Duke: I don't *want* Winthorpe back, after what he's done.

    • LOL. It's already lost. Word on the street this morning is that on the Dem side, it's pretty much all over bar the crying. Hil is in.

And unless Thompson manages to KO Giuliani, and quick, it's Hil again for the White House.

If you don't believe me, I'd be happy to take your money in a wager ;)
      • Oh, I don't doubt that we should all fear Cthillary.
But, on the subject of Blackwater, given how Haditha played out, have we learned anything about rushing to judgement?

Anything free is worth what you pay for it.
